Vision Deux - LED Flickered and Died

So I recently received my Vision Deux Mini 2.5ml carto from Gotvapes.com.

Good vapor production and super bright light when it worked. I was happily vaping for a few hours and then suddenly the LED flickered a couple times and went out. The carto still produces good vapor and I checked battery life by switching to a fully charged eGo-T 1000mah and then again on a fully charged Lavatube.

I really want to resurrect the light on this bad boy and continue using it. I have seen that a few other people on ECF have had similar problems and know of one member who was able to replace the LED himself. I am unsure of how to replace the LED and was hoping for advice on either doing this or another way to fix. Since there was no prior dimming and the fact that it flickered before shutting off I believe the connection may have just come loose. Please someone help me with this problem, I love the vapor production but it was really the bright light that made me want to continually use this carto.

I found the same thing. The LED's don't last long. Mine lasted a couple of days then Poof. The Vision still works great though.

Well I got it to light up again. I replaced the LED inside the Vision and it works fine again.The LED I used was a little bigger than the original though so it is not as bright. It wasn't really that hard, just a pair of needle-nose pliers and some light swearing haha.

I can make these things last a month each easily. More often than not they "die" not because the coil or wires fry but because the wick wears out.

Now, if somebody made quick connects for the LED's that would rock LOL.. yeah, I do know how tiny they would have to be and it would still be a PINA to change. I just think it's really sad the LED's last such a short time compared to the coil.

Glad to hear it, I got a Vison Deux LED and the LED lit up and when I added a little juice it stopped lighting. I set it aside for a week and opened a ticket about it because it would not produce vapor, just flicker a bit. After a short while it stopped lighting up and caused the ego battery to flash like it was dead. I grabbed another fresh battery and same deal, 30 flashes. I updated the ticket and was advised to try to screw out the center post. I tried it, turned the post and tried again. After a few rounds of his the LED lit up without pushing the button and when I Pushed the button nothing happened. I unscrewed it and tried again and the LED lit when it was screwed onto the battery. Then I gave up and grabbed my faithful Fluxomizer and pushed the button on the battery and no dice! It fried the circuit in the ego battery. I finally thought to grab the Fluke meter and it tested .8 ohms. Almost a dead short. I guess you are supposed to test the ohms of these carto's so you don't ruin a battery. I have had an open ticket with gotvapes.com for over a week with no response. I opened a new ticket 2 days ago because the usually respone to new tickets within 48 hours and still no answer. I PM'd badkolo 2 days ago and I still didn't get any feedback. I am impatiently waiting on an update and the stress has sent me back to analogs!! Hopefully this post gets thing moving. I would at least like to hear a tough luck, too bad or try a new vision deux. I want to hear "sorry, here is a new battery and a Vision without the LED" or something as an attempt to keep my and my vape buddies ordering from gotvapes!
