Will the Provari fire with sub ohm coils?

You cannot use either a kick or the ProVari for subohm coils. On the ProVari, you can go as low as about 1.2-1.3ohms. I am not sure about the kick and how low you can go. Before you subohm, make sure you learn about batteries and doing the whole thing as safely as possible.
By the way, the ProVari can be repaired even if your warranty is over. The fees are listed on the ProVape website.
While reviewing this table, be aware that this is the guaranteed production test limit. Because of part variations, typical unit outputs are higher than what is displayed in this table for both models.
Both of mine run fine @ 0.8 ohms... (3.0v)![]()
And I had one around 1ohm that was giving my errors. it worked fine on a mech. So, not sure here. I was just giving my experience, which is not the definitive guide.

Hey all, been using my provari with an a7 rebuildable for years. Provari is having some issues so I ordered a couple mech mods. I'd like to use the mech mods with my a7 and wrap sub ohm coils. I am using AW batteries, is it necessary to use a kick for safety?
So what you are saying is, Provape mislables data sheets, and is therefore dangerous and unreliable. Sounds like the fanboys/provarianti!

Interesting comments.
If you are planning on some sub-ohm builds, I have a sticky in the RBA forum which should help also:

While my ProVari's will run @ 0.8 ohms / 3.0v, that's the maximum voltage I can push without errors. With my Kicked mechs (Evolv Kick 2) I can run higher if I want, and still retain good safety features, and regulated variable wattage. It would have been nice if Evolv would have included the same step-down feature of the Kick 2 in the DNA 30.
I have run an .8 ohm for a long time using that imr aw 18650 battery with no fear of anything happening.. I change batteries about every 6-8 hours.well now you guys got me all nervous about sub ohm vaping lol.
so on that note, with a mech mod (no kick) and a 18650 1600mah aw battery what would be the lowest ohm setup that would be considered "completely safe".
