Do I really need the KGO starter kit?

Don't buy a kit if you know what you want and need. Your list sounds like you have it under control.

I would suggest that the LR works slightly better on the kGo. You may want to try SR and LR to make your own decision. The LR Star Dust style clearos are also worth a try.

Relax, Enjoy!

If you know that you like all the juice you have or will be getting, you don't need an atomizer or drip tip.
I guess you could test juice in a Vision Clearo, but its kind of a rough way to do it.

If all you use are Clearos, you don't need any cone. You really don't need that anyway, but it's nice for attys, dripping or cartos.

You can get by on that list. Are you really saving any money though? It seems like shipping would make up the difference, unless you get it all at the same place. But most vendors price their kits to be cheaper than the individual items.

When I've tried to do it that way, it turned out that atty or the pack of cartos I didn't need was going to cost me $2.

Thanks. Ill give both lr & sr a shot. One of the vendors claims lr clearos on the kGO yields burnt flavor. T or F?

Personally I'm just beginning to venture into the land of plastic cartos but from what I've seen so far I'd rely on the words - and products - of either DiscountVaper or GotVapes. If they don't tell you a certain clearo yields burnt flavor on a KGO and another vendor says that same clearo *does*, I'd suspect the other vendor is selling an inferior product, but that's just me.

BTW, have you checked out the kit price here? SLB KGO Starter Kit Not sure that's the best deal going or that the cartos would be to your liking, just thought I'd toss it out there for your inspection.

Happy Vaping! :vapor:

I'm just starting out too; I got a kgo kit last week. I ordered some LR & SR ego vision cartomizers... in my week of experience, the LR gives a bit more satisfying vapor but will occasionally taste burnt, depending on the flavor of your juice. Strong flavors seem to be fine in the LR but more delicate flavors like pear are best in the SR. I think trying both is a good idea - just make sure you know which is which. Based on my limited experience with these, I'd probably only reorder SRs.

In terms of a kit vs. parts... I bought my kgo kit from sweet-vapes for $42 and this was cheaper than buying two batteries and the usb charger + wall adapter. The kit came with 2 atomizers and 2 cones and some cartridges. I really only use the clearomizers but it can't hurt to have the atomizers sitting around in case I need them. Plus you get a fancy box.

I use 2 ohm for LR. There are lower resistance attachments (1.25 - 1.75 ohm) that could possibly burn juice at 4 volts or so. I never use below 2 ohm mainly because it is also harder on batteries for time between charges and over all life.

You may want a spare charger also just because we should always have spares. Lol

I would always go with atty's over cartos in a starter kit. 5 pack of cartos 6-7 bucks. Atomizers are 6-7 bucks each minimum. You should always have a few attys to try out new juice. Drip on atomizer, don't like juice, clean atty out. Fill carto with new juice, don't like juice, throw carto out. KGO kit1100mAh by SLB coupon code 5off for 5% off.
