My father-in-law got roped into one of these from a radio advert. He saw that my wife and I had our 510 starters, and were doing well with them...except to quote him at the time "you paid for yours, I got mine free!" Yeah, until the next month, a package of 20 prefilled carts, and an auto-charge receipt for $85 plus handeling fee! The only way he was able to get the recurring stopped was to send a certified "cease and desist" letter. This is a good thing to post and spread the word out there! Thanks, highping!

I hear that I got roped into one of those ordering it for a friend for a surprise and to boot there cartridges didn't have any nicotene I found out had to fight like mad to get rid of it and yes I am a new member

I fell into this very trap. When I first started my ecig journey in early January, 2011, this is how it started, with free trials. I got greedy and ordered free-trial kits from two different companies. After I got both kits in the mail, I was online one day doing research on the companies I got them from and I came across an article about one of the companies in question. It said that after 14 days my card would be charged the full amount of the kit, which was $149.00. I couldn't believe what I was reading. So I went to their free trial page and all the way down at the bottom in very small print was "terms & conditions." I clicked on that and started reading it and sure enough, it said in 14 days if I didn't return the kit, I would be charged. I couldn't believe it. Then I went to the free trial page of the other company and found the same exact small link at the bottom of the page and clicked, and sure enough, theirs said the same thing. Theirs was $99. I freaked out!!! So what I ended up doing was calling my bank and telling them that I lost my card and they cancelled the card. Whewww!!! Close call for me. So both companies lost out due to their deceiving methods. Oh btw, their ecigs aren't that good either. I'm now using the Joye eGo and I love it.

My bf and I got starting with vaping by him picking up a kit at the mall.....which was in hindsight crazy.....lol......however I never would have known that or any of the great info I have found out if not for this site.....its been so helpful....Im literally on here daily looking up this or reading about that....such a wealth of good info, tips, tricks, warnings, etc.....as well as a friendly, helpful community environment...... so glad to be a part of and have such a supportive network to turn to...Thank you.

The General Manager of the Plant where I work did the same deal, also from a radio advertisement. He told me the same day because he was excited and I'm the resident vaper that turned everyone onto the idea. I had him cancel the order/payment immediately and had him order an Ego charge-n-go with cartos and some juice. He really doesn't know how much hassle I saved him, but he loves his ego so thats all that matters. One more person steered from tobacco, vaping FTW!

I found out one of my friends that I don't talk to much, who I had turned on to vaping, was buying his juice from the mall for 25 bucks for 10ml!! Craziness! They really gouge the crap out of people, no wonder I don't meet more vapers on a daily basis...
