I had been toying with the idea of getting an e-cig for a while now. Well I finally made the decision to quit smoking last Friday and the urges started hitting so I decided to displace those urges on doing some more e-cig reading. First I saw an ad with a free trial then I did some Googling and wound up here and now I'm glad I didn't go for the "free" trial.

Thank you all for this info. My sis was talking about trying one of these "free" offers. I am going to call her right now and tell her to do her research. BTW: I have been smoke free for 3 days now after smoking for over 40 years and only 2 or 3 analogs a day during the past 2 weeks. I will never go back. I love vaping.

Any time you are asked for a credit card number for "age verification", or the trial has a "free trial period", be prepared for the ensuing months to be filled with frustration if you submit to the hype. Be sure that you read and PRINT the "terms and conditions" before submitting anything to these companies. Many offers are from honest companies, but a good portion are from scammers. Conduct as much research on the company before committing. This observation is made by someone who has worked in the credit card fraud investigation department of a major credit card processor. Just sayin'.

I had taken advantage of a "free trial" via a facebook ad, but I have always known nothing is free, so I did expect to give a credit card number and needing to call some 800 number to cancel before they started charging me. I am actually kind of thankful that I did use the free trial since it got my foot in the ecigarette door. it only cost me $5 shipping for a battery with 2 prefilled carts and as soon as it arrived I called the number to cancel. when I called they asked why I was cancelling and I told them "a 10 pack of carts for $80 doesn't sound reasonable." so they kept offering me a lower price til they gave up seeing they were getting nothing from me.

The funny business occurred when I contacted the company via their facebook page asking what the cart model numbers were so I could buy replacements elsewhere. They replied saying something like " our ecigs are manufactured by us and are designed to not work with any other replacement parts other than ours." At this point I had already been looking around and concluded these carts were of a 510 variety, and promptly ordered a pair of ego batteries and some clearomizers and ejuice because by this point 1 week into my experience I had cut my weekly consumption in half.

Now in week 3 I have reduced my analog consumption to 25% (1 pack a week) I have ordered more cartomizers from a company active in the forums here and ejuice from a supplier a couple hours away, who is also active here. This is my first post and I am very happy to be here.
