wish I'd found this forum stuff 1st...I did one of the trial deals: a "sample kit" with battery, usb charger and 2 cartomizers for $4.95 s&h....after 15 days they charge $99.99 for 20 cartos/1st month, then $79.99/month after that. Well, it sounded cheaper than my pack a day habit (or more...usual a carton a week @ $66/ea with maybe a pack or 2 left over)....then it arrived, a week late....& tasting like some gawd-awful pipe tobacco! yeesh! that was Friday night. I called this morning and canceled. It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought, about 5 minutes of refusing offers for discounts (why would I pay any price for something that I can't stand the taste of?), a free sample of menthol flavor instead ("no thank you, I do not care for mint flavors of any kind" put an end to that) & shot down his attempt to blame it on ordering "high" level nicotine ("I don't think going with a LOWER nic level would help the flavor...but thanks"). Anyhow, I've been told it's canceled...I will be making sure I check my bill next month and for several months to follow to be sure.

Now the good news: thanks to ECF and advise from a friend I found Word-Up e-cigs....I have an order in with them, due to arrive in 2-3 days :) & I was able to find a local "generic" type juice supplier & got a small bottle of "marl-borow" (way over priced @ $19.99) which I used to "cut" the nasty pipe cartos...making them somewhat usable. As a result I've smoked a lot fewer analogs than normal, less than a pack since Saturday....I'd usually be on pack 3 by now! I have high hopes for my new kit from Word-up.....and look forward to exploring all the other vendors/equipment out there. Thanks ECF & members for a fantastic site!!

I read earlier in this thread the old adage 'the best things in life are free'. but not E cigs. lol I was brought up on that adage, and it pretty much meant non-material things. How can something that cant BE bought have a price? Love, compassion, a hug, etc.
On the other hand I was taught 'Nothing in life is free' and 'If it sounds to good to be true, it is'. The understanding was these adages applied to material goods. Sure, its not ALWAYS true but it has allowed me to step carefully in life so I didnt create money issues I really didnt want coming my way.

I never try a 'free trial' of anything. The term alone gets my back up.

I'm so glad this is the top sticky. (I've been lurking the boards for awhile now. First post here, hi everyone!). I aaallmmmoost fell for one of these until I decided to take a step back and read EVERYTHING on the page. So glad I didn't do it. I wish I found this before I almost fell for it, but I'm just thankful I didn't order it. Ended up getting the eGo from liberty flights.

Thank you for your post. Luckily i did research PV's a lot before finding this forum and i purchased my first Joyetech 510 from Nicotinenirvana.com and was hooked off the analogs. I love my new 1100 mah e-Go T and i use cartos on it. i am looking forward to purchasing my first VV e-Go soon. also i am in the works of my first mod, the chaos remote. ill post pics of it in mods forum after i get high enough.

Ok, here's one of those sad stories. I heard about the e-cigs about a year ago on one of those radio or tv ads (forget which). So I decide to give it a try. Wished I had thought to research it more before hand, Wish I had found this forum before. But as the saying goes, wish in one hand, poop in the other and see which fills up faster. Anyway, I DID go in for the "free-trial" offer. About a week later I got a charger in the mail. No battery, no e-cig, just a charger. Then I see my bank account had been charged $90 for something, and again for $40 but all i had was a charger. Needless to say, and to make a long painful story short, It took me 2 & 1/2 months, many many phone calls and lots of letters written, along with money spent sending said letters certified, etc. I finally got most of my money back. They claimed they sent all the product, which they didnt. I actually had to close and re-open a bank account as they kept trying to charge me more. I was convinced all e-cig companies were crooks and gave up trying. UNTIL my sister told me about V4L and how good the company was and that you DONT have to commit to anything you dont want! So now I tell everyone about the ECF, and that you should never ever trust a "free-trial" for anything! Lesson learned. I am now a happy Vapor-er and very happy customer.
