Fortunately I did not fall for the "Free Trial" offers when I first started in e-cigs, but that was only due to the fact that I have been sucked into some with other products/services and since know "there is no such thing". There is always a catch. I wish there were forums like this then on those topics.

I have also used e cigs to slow down smoking. I now only smoke real ones while I am awaiting my new cartridges. They really do help. But I do think that you have to want to quit. I believe that for most, it is not the addiction of the chemicals but rather the addiction of having the cigarette in their fingers. So when I tried one, I was truly amazed that it was way too easy for me to give up the chemicals from real cigarettes and pick up an e-cig. Hearing the same story over and over from many who use e-cigs makes me believe that smoking cigarettes is truly a habit of the hands and not an addiction to the chemicals. I have tried about 5 different brands and the one that I find the best is the one you can get here at Electronic Cigarette | Electric Cigarette | E Cigarette Starter Kits - PremiumECigarette.com You do not need to sign up for autosend and they do not get you to even try to. They seem to be the best as far as taste and quality and lets not forget the price. The cartridges add up to save me $210 every couple months as opposed to real cigarettes. Try em out, you may just be surprised.

I really appreciate you telling me that, I was starting to worry that maybe the "shorties" wouldnt work as well, as so many talk about how the larger batteries work better, but I think it'll at least hold me to friday, when I can put in my "big" beginners order. I'm definitely getting a PCC, and maybe a pass through as I'm home online for hours a day. But maybe the PCC would be fine. I'm holding my "newbie excitement" at bay by looking around and seeing whats out there. Once I get my kit (hopefully tomorrow), I'll know better what I'll need, but no harm in window shopping till then, right?
If I feel I need a larger batt, then I can order one along with the other goodies! My birthday is thursday, so I'm spending the last of my b-day allowance on this new hobby!

Everything I have ordered off TV has been junk or a rip-off in some sort of a way. Thanks for the post and I have shared it with my facebook friends, some of which seem very interested in my eGo and others plan on giving one to a family member for Christmas. Most of my FB and real-life friends are very amazed with me being able to quit smoking (No smokes at all for 6 days, after a pack a day for 22 years.) They have also been very supportive, the least I can do is warn them about these scams.
Best of luck to you all.

i just got hit with this scam.when i put in my credit card info. i seen the 160.00 fee and the 69.99 a month for refills.automatically charged to your account.i thought i cancelled it.and then i ordered the 510 from tw and i love it.but they both showed up yesterday.so now i have to try to return it.hopefully without any additional charges.it says 14 day trial.but i heard they try to charge you anyway.

I almost got scammed into one of these but luckily they got my name wrong and didn't charge my card. After reading the fine print I realized it would have been a huge mistake if my card was charged. Thank gosh. Then I researched some more and realized what to expect when buying an ecig. I didn't have to pay more then $60 for a starter kits...

Man, that sucks. Talk about a rip off, too--those prices are highway robbery! I seriously hope you get that straightened out, I cant believe they went ahead and charged your card. Usually theres a "hit this button to place order" situation, but that may eat into their profits, the jerks. I doubt you'll have any trouble getting them to take the item back, but if you do, you may want to contact your cards customer service to straighten this out for you, usually they wont try to mess around with them as much as they will with the potential customer/victim. I've done that for other rip-offs, though never with vaping. Good luck and I hope you get this worked out with little to no hassle!

Yeah the free trials end up costing a lot in the end! Most of these companies will let you try these units for a trial period. If you end up keeping the e cig then you get charged an outrageous amount. Also watch out for subscription/auto billing companies that want to auto ship you carts every month!

But they are free trials! There is no harm in getting things for free! Go for it!

....Lol jk

They are not free.. Once you read the fine print and the lies (like a cart=1 pack of ciggies), and also being automatically placed on their auto refill list, you end up spending tons of money for something they claim to be free...
