As far as the "free trial offers" I couldn't agree more....HOWEVER...there are sites out there that offer "freebies" that are totally legit. Primevaping comes to mind. With every order they send out a sample of e-juice that you didn't order, it is just a little trial size, but sometimes they are awesome, and it really is just a free sample. So don't be scared if a site says they send out something that is free...sometimes free really is free.

Here's a good rule of thumb. The only way a free trial is worthwhile is when you do not have to give a credit card number upfront. This is the minority of situations but some companies who realy believe in their product, would see value in just getting your name and contact info. Then, the worst case scenario is dealing with followup mail but atleast you are not dealing with any financial sneak attacks. And its a a good sign of it being a reputable product if the company believes they can get you to buy their product after a trial, without the upfront payment info.

One more quick followup that I forgot to mention above. Please do not give any credibility to a money back guarantee. That statement does not really take away much risk from it being a lousy product. Studies have shown that only a small percentage of people will actually follow through with the return, even if they are unhappy. Companies know that stat and can casually throw out that statement without it even coming back to haunt them in the long run.

My mother got suckered in to the free trial off the radio.. she got charged over $100 after to first month of her "free trail". they would not refund her money and offered her free cartrigdes for the next 2 months and no other bills.. so she took the offer.. but consequently she was billed $40 every month there after. Even after she called every month to have them refund her money and requested to speak to a supervisor they still billed her the next month.. she did get some of her money back, but after this happening for 9 months she tried to call again and the number is disconnected now and their website is gone.. she has not been billed or contacted by them for a month or so...so hopefully someones shutting these people down...

I just came in this thread to post this. Didn't expect I'd see a post pertaining.

The first thing I was going to do, was order a free trial. I didn't even know about ECF then. Then, it came time to putting in a credit card number, and I thought, "This doesn't sound free to me". That's when I stopped. I'll never go for free trials of ANYTHING, if they ask me for banking info. That's my rule of thumb.

Regarding esloan's situation, if you strike out getting your money back from the manufacturer at first, it's easier to then take the good fight to your credit card company. Consumers have lots of rights and you may be able to do a chargeback in these situations.

My first one I ever got was an anolog look a like and it sucked but it was not free and it sucked, I hate we can't name names on here because it really sucked... I got a second one that was an anolog look a like and it was killer it was a krd808d1 and it rocked for me the first time i usesed it!!! in fact it helped me to quit!!!!!:vapor:

People stay away from the Gas station and truck stop Ecigs they SUCK!!!!!:vapor:

All the hype I have seen on this says to stay away from these because they will not give you your money back as they promise!!!!!

Hi to all,
First post and new to vaping. Been smoking for 25 years and ready to get the garbage out of my lungs. Smoke free for 14 days now thanks to my son getting me into this. I tried the free trial thing a few years back and don't recommend it to anyone. Paid the 10 bucks for the kit which came with battery and preloaded cartridges that taste like it came out of the back of my dog. I had no idea that they were going to keep shipping me product and charging my card. After three costly shipments I finally found a phone number to cancel. Reluctantly they canceled the service but would not let me return the unused product. So don't learn the hard way like I did. Find a friend and try before you make the investment so you get what works for you. I now have a REO mod, Silver Bullet, and several small batteries and carts with lots of different juice. Taking a while to find the juice I like for every day vape. Most important no more cigarettes. Good luck to everyone new to this. (like me)

I read an article about ecig which turned out to be an ad and actually bought it. I don't know what model it is but I'm pretty sure its like the one you can get at a corner store for next to nothing. The first one they sent me didn't even work and the subscription was something like $80 month to send me a couple prefilled carts!!! I cancelled, they sent me a bunch of free stuff but the bottom line is their product was crap.

I found this site and spoke to some friends and found out there was a ton of choices and some seriously awesome products and distributors out there. It pays to do your homework with this.
