I have the new eleaf TC40W, and was wondering if there were pre-made nickel Kanger type dual coils I could buy.

I assume the Vapor Shark coils require their MOD. They say the coils require a MOD with a DNA 40 board.

Thanks,

dviles

tanks and mods are interchangeable.
nickel coils require a board like the dna40 for example, that are designed to work with nickel coils for temperature control operation. those boards will also work in regular wattage mode with regular kanthal coils.

Ok, but my question
VaporShark coils do NOT require a DNA device to work. Any temperature control mod can use them.

I use Vaporshark Subtank and Nautilus coils on my SnowWolf 200W.
Thanks for the reply. I see the same warning for the Nautilus coils. So, I guess it's worth a shot to give them a try. I think I was worried about damage to the MOD. It does say "damage to the coil". I guess I can afford that.

I haven't seen nickel replacement coils for the subtank on fasttech but they are listed on myvaporstore
Nickel Ni200 Kanger Subtank OCC Coils

and of course you can buy your own nickel wire and use it on the rba coil heads.
Thanks. But looking for pre-Subtank nickel coils. Figured someone had come out with them by now, but hadn't seen even on Fasttech.

Even Kanger makes sub-ohm (.8) coils for the dual coil tanks like the Aerotank, why not nickel. I'm sure it's on the way though.

Are you looking for Pre-Coiled coils in Nickel to use in the Subtank RBA Section?

Gotcha.

I'm not really Familiar with the Aerotank Tank or which Coils work with it.

I saw these...

Kanger Aerotank / Protank / eVod NI200 Temperature Sensing Nickel Coils (5pcs) - EVcigarettes.com

... but I don't know if they would work for you or Not? Or if that Company is Good or Bad.
Thank you. That's exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you very much. But, again, in the description, they say "requires a DNA 40 board like in the VaporShark DNA 40.

So, is "DNA 40" a standard that my Temperature Controlled I stick 40 watt might have? Or, must I use the VaporShark MOD?

Regardless, the link you provided is even cheaper, so I can definitely afford to give them a try. Thanks

Hey No Problem.

I Really think that they will work with ANY Temperature Control Mod.

Let us know how they Work.

I ordered the coils you listed. Turns out they were a couple hours north of me, so I got them today. Strangely enough, they are Kanger brand coils in the usual foil/plastic packaging. They are SINGLE coil, but they'll work fine with my Aerotank. The box doesn't say nickel and no blue o-ring, but I can see .15 ohm engraved on them.

I'm not sure when, in the next couple of days, i'll get a chance to try them, but i'll let you know.

Thanks,

dviles

I would be careful there. The proper 'vaporshark' coils do have a blue oring to distinguish them from the Kanthal coils. It is possible they are 'clones' and still might work but they should at least say Ni on them...are you sure its 0.15 and not 1.5..just checking :)

edit: maybe post a pic of them or something?!?!

Cool.

It seemed for that Price, it was worth trying them out.

Let us know how they work when you get a Chance to Try them.

BTW - Just a Side Note on VaporShark.

It seems that there has been some Issues with VaporShark and Credit Card Information. Not sure how Involved it Is or Isn't. Just thought I would pass this along.

Soooo.... Vaporshark warning--not only is my package scanning in two locations but today I received $900 in charges to strange websites and got a call asking for my pin number.

VS is the last transaction I used this card for.

BUYER BEWARE. Guess they didn't fix their security breach.

Google
shoutout to vaporshark for exposing my credit card : electronic_cigarette

Tons of hits for credit card fraud exposure this summer. Something is definitely up.

Starting in December actually.
Site security? - recent joyetech problems and vapor shark's updated security : electronic_cigarette

From their verified reddit account:
"vaporshark 3 points 9 months ago

Good Afternoon, Recently we have been overwhelmed with the amount of fraudulent credit cards that are being used for high dollar purchases. Although most of them are coming from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore we are still getting a staggering amount stateside. We use an Anti Fraud program called Signifyd which will occasionally flag orders as fraud. When this happens we need to do a manual verification. We attempt to call the customer first and if we can not get a hold of them an email is then sent. After the identity has been verified all emails and pictures of ID's are deleted. Unfortunately there is no other way to do this. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but we do have to protect ourselves from theft."

It's not a new issue--they've acknowledged CC breaches and contracted a new security solution but it appears to be ongoing. :(
Shame because they're otherwise the industry leaders in terms of consumer protection.
And there is a chance, as a mod told me today, that this particular breach originated on my machine. I'm skeptical due to the numerous other reports this year, but it's possible.
