Just curious...seems like after 2 or 10 X2s, the cords just end up in a drawer. Selling them without the cord at $1-2 less would seem like a no-brainer...but that's just me. Anybody agree?
Do we really need a cord for every X2 battery?

You’d think they would make more profit by selling them separately. I guess I’m not the only one that has a bunch of unused cords.

Well, you do need the cord to use it as a passthrough and you sure would be disappointed if you got your first battery and there was no cord. I have a few of them in drawer myself.
True. But they could sell without the cord for maybe a dollar less, and list the cord as an add-on for a few dollars. I feel like that would work better for everyone.
I kinda like have extra cords, now I have one for each at home, one for each car. My car phone cord has a slot for usb, so it works out great!
You will find out soon enough those cords don't last very long if you use them as a pass through, maybe a month tops. Then you will be glad they all come with one. I doubt SI pays more than 25 cents a piece for them anyway so chances are slim they would be willing to knock $2.00 off the price of an X2. I have 7 X2s and maybe 3 cords that still work not counting the 2 replacement cords I already got from CS. just sayin
IMO, would be silly to sell a passthru capable device without a cord. Also not everbody buys 8 gazzilion x2s so maybe this is a personal problem, LOL - kidding.
All makes sense...I'm not up to a gazillion yet....just 3....but am beginning a cord collection. Also don't do the pass thru thing, so maybe I'm just in the minority. Anyway, for 25 cents, I'll find an empty drawer.
i agree with every one,,,,,you can't have to many cords.....i have 5 and one i think is about to bite the bullet......i have been using it as a pass thru 24/7.......so it has some breaks in it.

Yes, they each need a cord. I'd be ...... if I were a beginner and had to pay for cords to get started. I've got 4 X2s, and 2 cords that aren't frayed yet. Think of them as built in backups. Those cords aren't as resistant to wear as the batteries are.
I don't see many people having to pay for cords though. I've got about 6 cords in arms reach right now that would work with the X2's, mini-USB is so common on anything electronic.
Yes, but just to warn you, using cords other than what was supplied would void your warranty. Which is a shame, because the ones they supply aren't so hot in quality. This is why I tend to agree that not including them wouldn't save us any money. Their cost, if any, is probably negligible on them.

Either my cord or my X2 has given up the ghost. Before I bury the battery, I want
to make sure it's the batt and not the cord.
When plugged in, the blue light on the X2 comes on, but it seems the batt is not
charging. My guess is that the batt is dead, but might I be wrong? Is there any
chance it is a bad cord?
I haven't had the X2 all that long, and I haven't used it all that much, and that's
what makes me suspicious.
Anyone have any ideas about this?

If the LED comes on when you plug it in, it sounds like the battery is getting power from the cord.
What size is the battery?
How long have you left it plugged in?
Does the LED go on and off if you wiggle the connector?
Have you tried a different cord?
If all else fails, put in a ticket on S.I.’s website.

I have lots of extra cords too, but it's better than having to buy them separately. Most places that sell ego style batteries or ego twists, make you buy the cord separately, usually for $6-$7.

Huh.... Ego Twist batteries aren't usb passthroughs, and don't come with any cords, but my Ego usb passthrough batteries did come with cords. I think this is standard.

It's an auto 650 X2. It's been plugged in for as much as 12 hours and it wouldn't produce
anything. There is no play in the connection, it's solid. I don't have a different cord unless
I try something for a cell phone, and that might void the warranty, which expires in the next
couple days.
