Thanks so much for this Walrus (and your Pm help)...before I read your thread, I would have been reluctant to try cutting. Went out tonight and bought the supplies...Tomorrow, I'm all about playing mad scientist

also scooped up 28 bottles of breath whatever it was....from Walgreens for .15 each...I have my "lab" set up, can't wait!

thanks again!

Using Walrus' numbers, and conversion ratios from Google, here is a little Ruby script to compare prices. If anyone wants me to change numbers or recipe or whatever, I can edit this rather easily.

Results are coloured in the top of the right pane (I added the colours after to make it easier to see)

I'm pretty new here but have been reading as much as I can over the past week. I have a question, though, that I don't see answered specifically. I just bought a bunch of liquid from ruyondirect-- I think I bought the last of their 36ml liquid. It's not here yet. I've been smoking the 24ml liquid.

I want to cut the 36 to about 18 or maybe 24, but my question is if I want to cut it to 18-- I can figure out the rest.

If I pour out 1/2 the 30ml bottle into another bottle, what else do I add to the 15ml that's left? I might order some LorAnn flavorings, and I read add about 10% I think. What do I add to the rest of the liquid to make up the difference? The Glycerine? Isn't that too much glycerine.

I guess I was hoping someone would tell me exactly what they've been doing!

The liquid I bought is tobacco flavor ,since I can't imagine losing that flavor altogether, so adding more flavoring won't be the most important thing although something in combo with the tobacco flavor would be great. If I want to make 30 ml of liquid out of 15 ml, I just want to know what people are adding exactly and how much of it.

Also, I really appreciate this forum. I've only been e-smoking for about a week or less and don't miss the analog cigs AT ALL. And, disgustingly, I was up to three packs-- I work from home, so that was easy easy to do! Now, though, I'm just vaping! I can't believe how great these things are.

Thanks in advance everyone. I'vve been reading for days. I'm sorry if it's right in front of me, but I missed it.

I use a 50/50 mix of Propylene Glycol and Glycerin but you can use either-or, you can add a bit of distilled water if you want to thin it out but it should be fine.

nice op walrus and helpful to newer members.
I there does seem to be a 3 month tidal thread subject flow on the forum, probably happens with most forums to be honest. In another 3 months another member will start a similar thread and all the new members will benefit from it.

It used to be said that e-liquid is the most expensive liquid on the planet buying it locally, made it sound even worse when you know how much you can get it for from source.

If I recall correctly , one of our suppliers said in defence of price versus quality that he could get e-liquid for £3 per litre , but it wasnt a high quality e-liquid. at £3 a litre I could live with that.

Does anyone know where one can buy either the LorAnn's or Bickford flavorings locally in the U.S. I searched at the grocery store today and only found the McCormick's (it had PG but also alcohol and didn't know if that would be okay).

I only vape zero nic and would love to save money making my own. Also, I haven't found the bottles of straight PG yet, but I did find the Glycerin so I have just been basically smoking straight Glycerin - is that harmful?

Thanks for your help - I can't wait to experiment with some flavors...the 100% VG is getting bland

Thanks for the info! I better go tonight - we're supposed to have a good snow storm tomorrow and want to have lots to play around with. Just hope my atomizer doesn't give out on me - I only have the one right now...

Any flavor recommendations? Which are your personal favs and which ones aren't so great?

Cool, I just called my local Walmart - and they have them, yeah! Thanks again!

Just be sure to check the ingredients. If it contains oil, stay away. I used Orange Oil before I knew any better and it killed my 901 atomizer. If you search around, there is a list of flavors that do not contain oils and colors.

You can also see the ingredients of any of Lorann's flavors by clicking the Item Details link when browsing on their site.

My husband picked up a few of the LorAnn's tonight for me at Walmart - (grape, pina colada, and rootbeer).

Before I open the packaging, can anyone tell me if the ingredients are okay or safe in your mind (have you used them or would you)?

1) rootbeer - art.flavor, water, caramel color, PG, polysorbate 80, potassium sorbate

2) grape - art. flavor, PG, water, red 40, blue 1

3) pina colada - water, PG, art. flavor, alcohol

I think that the pina colada would be my favorite of the three but I don't know anything about the alcohol (I love my beer, however I'm sure that the 'alcohol' in this isn't the same ;)) Is it something to avoid when buying the flavors?

Thanks again everyone! :)
