Proud to say its been right at 2 months now and i have not slipped one single time!! Health-wise i am feeling great... never cough anymore, swim and run everyday at the gym, and just feel a million times better than before.

Like the majority of people here i assume, i started vaping to rid myself of the nasty analogs and the destruction that they were doing on my body. now that its been a couple of months and i feel so much better it is easy for me to tell myself that vaping is 100% healthy and i can vape forever and not hurt my health in any ways, which i know is not completely true

other than the obvious effects of nicotine on the body (which i dont mind so much) the research i find online is a bit confusing to me as to whether or not there are any cancer agents in the e-cigs. i tend to believe that if any danger is present it is soooo much smaller than in analogs it is very good trade off.... but the question is... do you plan on eventually quitting vaping, or are you content to vape for the rest of your lives??

just curious about your thoughts

I'm kind of torn. I don't want analogs any longer, so WINNER! Still, I like vaping, and I've amassed 45 flavors (with 20 more in the mail) in three short weeks. I can't let them go to waste, can I? :)

So now, I am enjoying the vaping experience. It's giving me everything the analog did, except for the smell, and dangerous chemicals. But at times, I sit and think why am I "smoking" Monster energy drink, or blueberry muffins? Right now, I still need the nic, and I am sure that I'll start cutting down the strength.

But at the point of low/no nicotine, is there still a purpose to vape? I guess it'll become a matter of preference, or a habit/hobby. We shall see...

I enjoyed smoking, that is why I did it for so long. I now enjoy vaping instead. I am sure it is not as good for me as quitting completely but I have yet to see any evidence that vaping is any worse for you than breathing petrol and diesel exhaust fumes, in fact I think it may be less harmful. In the lack of any evidence that vaping is seriously bad for me in some way I fully intend to continue without restriction and enjoy it.

I don't see myself quitting vaping anytime soon. The nicotine has a number of benefits that are medically proven, and as the components of the liquids we use are ingested every day, I don't really feel that I'm putting myself in any more risk by vaping then by not vaping, perhaps less due to the fact that nicotine assists with alleviating some of my depression. I'm off stinkies, I feel better, and I enjoy vaping. However for some people the nicotine benefits are less and quitting vaping is also an option, and power to them. Whatever is right for you.

When I started vaping my plan was to ween myself off vaping and eventually quit. Now not so much. Someone was actually asking me about my e-cig this weekend and asked me if I planned to stop and I told them that I may but I would also be pretty content if I was vaping for the next 20 years. Prob not vape to the extent I do now but a few times a day as a treat maybe.

Quit vaping? Probably not. I have a stockpile of supplies and juice to last a good long time. I don't cape any one flavor, or vendor for that matter for long term effects of something in a particular juice. By my vaping the way I do, it has actually cut down on my coffee, (caffeine) addiction. So I am in limbo. I will more than likely continue until circumstances force me to stop. I have been vaping for almost 13 months, and I know for certain I will never smoke again.

I'm content with vaping. 6 months in & I still do 24mg.............it's the same price as 6mg, so why not? lol
I like collecting the mods & wouldn't know what to do with them if I quit vaping.
What if I got fat or fatter from not vaping because I chose eating (hand mouth concept) instead?
What if I quit, got rid of all my stuff.............decided I needed nic........& had to wait 3 days to get stuff from a vendor? Would I just go buy a pack of cigs?

I don't know..........I just know that i'm not quitting yet...........& that I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
Excellent question & Welcome to ECF!! Super congrats on your 2 months clean!

thanks for the replies... i am like most of you, really enjoying vaping. i know i would rather not have any nicotine in my life, but for now i cant really see anything wrong with vaping, and in fact i think its the best thing in the world if for no other reason i never even think about analogs anymore

on a side note... for your flavor junkies out there, what are your top recommendations?

i have only tried 2 flavors so far, both from dfwvapor... the first was slurm which was supposed to taste like smarties candies, and was very nice, and now im going through some Mountain Dew which i also really enjoy

my next purchase i believe will be a green apple :)

thanks again

Right now, I'm content with vaping. I've quit smoking, which is a major achievement in itself and completely unexpected.

My thoughts exactly. I woke up the other morning with flu, reached for my smokes and just thought: "You little rat bass tarts, I'm sick and feeling like crap and this is what I go for first. Screw that I'm done. Bloody done." I went to the chemist for some meds, grabbed some Nicorette microtabs and gum and that was it for the first week. I then found an old e-cig product lying around that my dad tried a few years back (still crap then) and thought I'd use this while in front of the computer. The thing didn't work anymore and it was just to keep my hands busy and have something in my mouth. Eventually I started looking into them and now being the proud owner of an eGo I have not even thought about a cigarette ONCE!

Even if I vape for the rest of my life I will never touch a cigarette again. Something in my mind has clicked by itself. So strange, but so true and I detest them!

To me, smoking and vaping are equally enjoyable, only vapor is cleaner, and doesn't leave you with a sore throat or a bad cough if you overdo it (like when you're out drinking).

I used to love to have a cigarette after a hard workout, or a day-long bike ride, especially after work... But I felt like like a ..... for dieting, exercising, & trying to be healthy while contradicting the entire concept of a healthy lifestyle with smoking those cancer-causing, disgusting, cigarettes.

Now, I reap all the enjoyment I had, without any of the guilt.

The idea that at the end of a long adventure or accomplishment I can kick back with my PV, 'relax' with mug of beer and a e-cig... An association I previously only made with actual cigarettes... I feel like it's a huge success that I've discovered vapor.

I'm already down to 1.2ml strength menthol tobacco flavor as my daily, but even find myself diluting my base liquid with no-nicotine flavors, so in reality, my nicotine content is already low. The throat hit is still doing it for me with the Cisco LR, so I can see myself weening off nicotine addiction all together, but I think I'll always want to keep a PV handy for when I want to feed that oral/smoking fixation.

While it's only been a few months, I can say I've enjoyed vaping more than I've ever enjoyed smoking. I think this movement is in its infancy, with lots of devices looking a bit outrageous, and feeding systems yet to be perfected... and it may not be clean-cut or new-user-friendly for a long time, but I'm glad to be part of it in its beginning. This community willingly helps one another, we're proud we've found something better than what we've left behind... The community also seems to grow exponentially every day. How many growing cigarette-enthusiast communities are out there & growing? That being said, I'm happy I made the switch, and although I'll probably slow down once the novelty wears off, I doubt I'll ever want to leave home without a PV on me, just in case...

Kudos... very well written and very very true!
