The first day I got my Blu I only smoked 5 cigarettes. I thought it would be really hard, but it wasn't. For me the hardest part was getting over the worry while driving home and thinking I only have 2 cigarettes I NEED to stop. Well, I didn't stop and just said I'll deal with it. The next day I backslid a bit and smoked about 3/4 pack.

The day after that my 510 came. I only smoked about four cigarettes at work for the first three days with that. And that was only because I hadn't gotten over the embarrassment of using the PV in public. That goes away soon enough.

Friday I finally got around to getting rid of all my ashtrays and in one of them was a 3/4 smoke that I must have snubbed out before bed at some point. I couldn't resist. I smoked some of it.

Saturday (yesterday) was my first day completely smoke free. And believe it or not - It was EASY. I was even around smokers!! So far today no smokes either.

The important part is to not beat yourself up. It is a self fulfilling prophecy if you tell yourself it isn't possible to quit. I still get cravings, but that is what the PV is for.

Just don't buy any cigarettes. If you don't have them you won't smoke them.

Good luck

I smoked starting just about 50 years ago...and was up to 2 packs a day.

I received my first e-cig kit on August 16th - had 7 cigarettes left in the pack - switched between those and the e-cig til the analogs were gone - haven't had an analog since...

I can breathe!!! I stopped coughing!!! I feel better; I smell better; my cat cuddles closer. I love the variety of flavors that you can't get from analogs..

I'm a happy vaper :)

I smoked analogs for 18 years 3 to 4 packs a day and i quit after i finally found the Vapor King XL battery with the WOW blank cartomizers and WOW peppermint 18mg juice and the Premium RY4 18mg juice all from Vapor 4 life, i have all the PV's even the higher voltage mods and this combo is the best by far for taste and vapor production in my opinion you cant go wrong i love it, good luck

I smoked with vaping for about 5 days when I first started and then the ideal of spending 4 more dollars for a pack of cigs didn't make since when I had my vape. One thing I would like to ask is what Mg strength are you using I started with the 36mg and I would recommend it to any one to start with. It was way to high for me and I am now down to 18 but that initial jump off point it is important to start way high so that you aren't even thinking about nicotine in fact I was high the first week I had so much nicotine in my system, but I never felt sick to my stomach like I did when I over chewed the nicotine gum. So if you are below 36mg I would bump it up. That way when you smoke the analog it will put you over the top nicotine wise and you will just not want to pick one up. Hope this helps

Since Sept 20th, I've had 2 analogs, the last one was on the 23rd. Not bad at all for a 1 - 1.5 PAD smoker of 21 years! I won't say I don't think about analogs because I do but I am proud of myself for putting them down, and hopefully for good. I'm going to be treating myself to an eGo at the end of this week, well, at least ordering it and hoping it arrives by Saturday. I'm also going to be getting into DIY juice.

I've only smoked half a pack of analogs since I got my e-cigs on the 21st of this month. I think that's amazing since I was burning through 1 to 1.5 PAD (on a really stressful day I could burn 2 packs)! I plan on putting down the analogs for good once I get myself set up nice. My boyfriend and I are using GreenSmokes now, but plan on getting eGo's and PT's since we're both computer/gaming geeks. I already ordered some juice, but I think I need to bump up the nicotine level to 24 for a while.

I don't plan on quitting vaping any time soon. It might happen, it might not. It's just nice that I have a much better and cheaper alternative that doesn't leave me freaking out with nic fits. It's also nice that my car, house, and I don't stink anymore!

The minute I started vaping I was hooked. I also started vaping to refrain from smoking and because it is just really cool. Day one I kept feeling the urge to smoke an analog. Day two I just couldn't bare anymore I needed a cigarette. I lit it up and immediately gagged, I took a few puffs and tossed it out of my car window. Now that I have been vaping the smell and taste of cigarettes completely grosses me out. Have you thought about getting a higher mg of nicotine? I am currently using 24 but have been known to switch to 30 when I am having a big craving. Good luck on quitting completely it is a lot harder for most. I smoked a pack a day.. Thank god that's over with lol.

I quit smoking the day I found the V4L, but that was the 4th kit I had ordered.

Before that, I had purchased 3 other kits, spent over $200 but still would go back to analogs.

It was the V4L that finally did it for me - and the day I plugged the kit in I never went back. That was 5 weeks ago and I can't IMAGINE smoking an analog now.

I also can't imagine giving up my V4L - it's like I just traded one habit for another, but that's fine for me right now.

I think of all the advantages of e-cigs over analogs, smell being #1 for me.

I smoked close to 35 years, was up to over 2 packs a day, so this is huge for me. If I stay on e-cigs indefinately, still a huge improvement as far as I'm concerned.

I stopped smoking three days into getting an eGo kit from cignot.
I was a 3 PAD smoker for 37 years who had already had a valve replaced, open heart surgery PAD, COPD, low blood pressure and had a part of my lung removed from having pneumonia and a fever which collapsed both lungs!
I was only hoping to be able to cut back to maybe 2 PAD or less!
I found that along with substituting vaping instead of smoking a cigarette
I was tobacco free in three days, completely!
I started out at 24mg nicotine and quickly jumped from 24 to 12-16 without any ill effects but I got some juice at a higher level and didn't even notice the difference.
Now I don't think everyone is like that but I suffered no palpitations, dizziness or any of the other symptoms that come with vaping too much nicotine.
I notice many here say they want to quit using nicotine, any particular reason for that being your end result?
I'm wondering how many here buy into the propaganda that "nicotine causes cancer"
or some such absurdity? Perhaps I should have a poll?
I am still vaping and have no intentions of quitting anytime soon.
There is no harm for me in vaping or using nicotine so I have no intentions of cutting back on this. Many days I use 0 nic all day long without any ill effects but my preference is to use WTA all day long because it affords me a break from vaping for a couple hours at least.
It's hard to be a two-fisted vaper while you're awake lol!.
