While I believe that the only truly safe lifestyle is one that folks breath mountain air a mile high and away from all polution, I don't think I'm going to consider a full no e-cig quit just yet .. I've been off the analogs now for about 4 months and I know the benefits I've encountered ..

1) I can breath better
2) I snore much less
3) My backpain is less (truly) ..
4) I'm saving some money
5) I can smell again
6) I can taste much better

If I were to completely quit would things get even better .. ?? Maybe .. but I'll take what I have for now ..

I don't think I will ever stop vaping. I enjoy my nicotine, and feel better overall after ingesting it. :vapor:

My own preference is to the more outrageous looking the PV the better, I don't smoke and don't
want to look like I'm smoking. I'm also old enough not to care a wit how ridiculous a passerby or
associates think it looks. Age has some benefits, much less peer pressure...

LOL what are you vaping exactly? I get some weird looks when I'm vaping on my "black box" Reo Grand, every now and then people whisper to each other when I'm sitting on a terrace. It gets even more amusing when my fiance starts smoking a "pen" Joye 510 :)

I have my black box detonators, flashlights, roughstack pipe bombs, ProVape-1 brass knuckles, ego sharpies, and various syringes and tanks to put on top of them.

No NEVER...If I get rid of my vapping supplies....I would probably end up going to the closest store and buy a pack of cigs. I have stoped smoking before with no nic...due to pregnancy....the whole time I was craving cigs...I ate to much and chewed a lot of sugar free gum....when the babies came I went back to smoking. The mental addiction is to strong for me vaping satisfys that enough so I dont crave smoking. I feel theres two choices for me smoke or vape period.

I love vaping!!! I was able to go cold turkey after smoking for 30 yrs - I amazed myself! I loved smoking and boost of confidence I got giving up analogs - it's awesome! I'm at around 18-20 mg and plan on staying at that level for a while - maybe even the first year and then perhaps gradually reducing - but do I see myself stopping vaping - nope. I'm having a blast! :D

Not I ... Reduced nicotine levels sure, but beyond that I see no reason to. How do you argue with something that as far as most can tell is safe to do yet still has the feel of smoking (in the inhalation sense). If you think about it, one of the major reasons most of the other junk out there ppl have tried using to stop smoking fails is because of the lack of that, and the lack of having that smoke in your fingers.

I don't have any specific plans at the moment. I started vaping a few weeks ago because I was so freaking sick of the smell in my house and car and clothes, and I realized I was just smoking too much and it was, yes, going to kill me eventually.

My goal was to cut down on my smoking considerably, and eliminate smoking in my house and car altogether. Mission accomplished right away. I'm down to a couple of cigarettes a day. Yesterday, I only had one, and didn't really "need" it.

So, at this point, the thought of giving up vaping is distant. Vaping takes care of the hand/mouth/inhale connection that kept me stuck on cigarettes, and the "fill in the blank moments of time" (of which there are many!) activity that cigarettes filled. I'm not sure when or how I might deal with those aspects of vaping - I do not want to revert to cigarettes.

I don't plan to stop. My issue with quiting smoking, which I've done before for a year or more at a stretch, has always been those stress filled days that make you pick one up again. Once you do that you are undone. This way I can keep reaching for something at those moments, and leave the analogs alone forever.

Uh what are these "effects on the body from nicotine" that "you don't mind so much"? There has not been much study as far as I can tell but the only things I have seen re. nicotine itself and health is positive, if anything. Mainly benefits to the brain and retaining memory (possibly helping guard against Alzheimer's onset, for example). At least for some people.

Also we get amounts of nicotine in everyday foods, most of the nightshade family contain it, from potatoes (the highest concentration of the food nightshades) to tomatoes and chili peppers.

I used to love smoking now I love vaping. I'm not worried about the long term health consequences of either considering the way I ride my motorcycle.

Hah nice. If you're gonna do the whole Donorcycle thing at least you acknowledge the risk. Those things can be seriously dangerous even if there were no cars (and trucks and drunks etc) on the road with you.

Whoa, really? I did not know this and assumed it was unique to tobacco. There are other plants with unique compounds and alkaloids and such so...maybe this helps explain why my ex-smoker gf loves potatos so much lol

Google time! :)

Not sure if I will quit vaping or not. At this point I am 5 weeks analog free, and I just put them down after I started vaping. I vape much less than I smoked and I truly like it. Nothing else has ever given me the opportunity to just put away the analogs. No nasty smell or taste. If the time comes to quit I guess I'll know it, if not, I'll just keep on vaping.
