sorry to hear Whistlrr
I had a bad monday as well. Logged on for the raid to find out yet another guild broke up. Raid leader quit and 3 officers server transfered. I still have 2 other 25 man groups to do that those were the hardcore guys. Server first left and right and now there gone

I got punted from my guild (most likely for not logging in frequently enough.. I was able to pin point how long its been.. five months since my last logins before this)

Another gripe to add to the til: why do they insist on ripping out all our talent points when they upgrade -- and then not telling us?
(at least now I have an explanation for why my ogre who's a hunter and his pet bear took such a through .... kicking -- all our talent points were undone woulda been nice to have a nice neon "HEY STUPID, CHECK YOUR TALENT POINTS" message to come on screen or something on login)

Right now I'm trying to update my public test server installations (may as well just keep going with all this updating since I'm in to it now), then I have to figure out why/how Zigor guides apparently irreparably ruined another must have addon (the "Carbonite one," necessary for players who must be led around by a constant easy-view large map and a big arrow in the middle of my screen to tell me where I'm going I'm sort of like a blind WoW player I really NEED that one. Perhaps the only level 70+ player who can still die in Shatterah just for walking off an edge trying to find the bank, etc etc -- I am a WoW player, but never ever once did I say I was a GOOD one lol.. somebody's gotta suck so all the "I'm so leet" players can keep on feeling 'special,' its an ugly job but somebody's gotta do it)

I quit WoW a few weeks ago after about 4 years of playing. I finally got tired of the "carrot on a stick" mechanic. I know it's a good mechanic to keep people playing and have new gear/content frequently, however I have a hard time splitting game time with everything else I need to do. Losing my business last month didn't help either so I have been super busy trying to scramble to pay bills to even think of WoW. I ordered a character sketch from Scott Johnson over at myextralife so I could hang on my wall and have my lvl 80 immortalized in ink forever because even though I quit, I was quite attached to my character.

I will miss it but not having that take up my time I am able to get my new business off the ground and enjoy other games such as Torchlight. I am going to buy Dragon Age as soon as I start making money again. Can't wait for Star Craft II and Diablo III either.

I've never tried the Carbonite addon, but i use Questhelper from Curse.com, it keeps you going where you need to as far as quests, prioritizes by itself or you can set up priorities. Shows an arrow on your screen as to which direction to go, what your going there for and which quest, as well as how far away you are in yards. Also shows on your regular map a detailed travel path through all of your quests.

I thought I was the sucky player that made all the uberguild members look like royalty....glad to know I'm not alone.

I enjoy the game, but I refuse to have my life run by it or guilds.

I'm looking forward to Diablo III and Starcraft 2 as well.

@mjones - your sig pic is full of win. I've not stopped giggling since I saw it.

Who knew seagulls were smart enough to shop at convenience stores...

I've finally curbed my altitis and am focusing on my belf rogue, Rhaevyn, on Shadow Council. I've tried five rogues and always deleted them. This one has stuck.

I have a huge MMORPG background but for now WoW is a fun break from RL now and then.

I could go on and on about gaming but it's time to head home from work. And play *snicker*

@VP haha that's funny **** "Whip 'em Out Wednesday"
@feenoir i lead my friday/sunday group I don't let them take smoke breaks. Anyone that goes afk without it being something unforseen and they don't notify me or a offier get replaced. If it happens everynight they get replaced. I've given them all the links for e-cig info and videos to watch.
I only log on for raids now well once a day to make sure i don't have to replace someone. but mostly the horrible server i'm stuck on has robbed me of my enjoyment i was getting in BC and early wrath. were out numbered by horde 5 to 1. and our auction house is a joke. Our peak hours show about 200-400 alliance online. It's pretty gay that blizzard has let this server sit and rot for so long now. just about everyday we hear about people rerolling horde or server transfering. Were down to 3 raiding guilds that can clear 25TOC(not heroic). O well just had to complain for a little bit. Back to Modern Warfare2.

8-o8-o8-o I cannot even tell you how much that game has taken from me lol. I have a ton of 80s. One of each class except for a priest. My star toon is my first, a warlock I created just after the original release (pre-bc). And I've totally abandoned my account as of this month.

That warlock is worth quite a buck, he has mounts, old game trinkets and pets, and all kinds of tiers from over the years, including the white blizzcon mount and pet from 2008 and the collectors edition Mini Diablo that came with pre-orders of BC. Right now (er, as of last month) he's running with...T9.5 I think it's called.... Got the stuff from TOTGC 25m... /meh.

Anyway, I'm thinking of moving him to a separate account and selling him so if anyone's interested PST ;);)
