I would just as soon quit vaping if there was no incentive."(generalization, not a quote, everyone is entitled to an opinion, these are mine) but that makes me think that you haven't overcame your addiction at all by switching to vaping if you still have that 'all or nothing' mentality.

Personally, I could care less if I'm addicted to Nicotine... Hell, I'm addicted to Caffeine as well but I'm certainly not going to stop drinking coffee... I didn't quit smoking because I was addicted to Nicotine, I quit smoking because the 3999 other chemicals (besides nicotine) were killing me... now I vape all the Nicotine I want, along with my coffee, without the worry!

I agree! Quitting a 40 year PAD habit in favor of vaping has amazing health benefits, no matter how much I vape! I'm thinking the OP didn't smoke that much or for that long:p

I vape way more than I smoked. There is a huge difference though. When I smoked, if I didn't have a cigarette about every hour, I would start getting anxious and headaches and moody. There have been times that I couldn't vape pretty much all day, and I didn't feel any of that. Sure, I wanted to vape because I enjoy the taste, but I didn't feel like I NEEDED it.

Hello,

It seems that so many people do not understand that electronic cigarettes should be used as cigarettes: it means smoke when you need it and put it back in the drawer.

I see so many people who keep smoking all day long, even at office, and I think that they are so stupid to quit an addiction for a new one, what do you think ?

Thank you for your ideas.

What an odd post. :)

I never quit one addiction for a new one, my addiction was to nicotine (in both instances); now I take it in a safer way.

I know what you are saying though. :)

I Vape A LOT more than I smoked, though I usually vape Low Nic (sometimes 0).
I enjoy a little nicotine buzz every now and then, but mostly enjoy the act of vapeing (inhale, blow 'smoke', and good taste).
Not only do I not smoke, but I also find that I dont snack nearly as much as I used to, and we all know overeating is a problem in this country. I also drink a ton more water now.
Vapor health risks are unknown. It could be worse than cigarettes in ways we dont expect. As I understand it, Doctors used to prescribe cigarettes as a way to relieve stress (1920's or so). We've come along way since then, but like with any new 'thing' it takes time and research to figure out the ill effects. Vaping has only been around like the last 10 years or so (China/UK), and they are coming up with new juice/mods/tanks/wicks/wire all the time. It is still in its infancy. There are A LOT of moving parts, and I'm sure we will see a TON more changes in the next few years. There needs to be more research on all this stuff for sure.
I think it is up to personal choice. Vape as much as you want. Personally, I dont think we should be blowing vapor in peoples faces, or vape around young children and people who are offended by it. But thats just how I vape!

I certainly vape more than I smoked. On the grounds of Coronary Artery Disease..three heart attacks, five stents and finally a quadruple bypass by the age of 48..it was painfully obvious that I was about to lose the smoking cessation battle.... permanently. Care to know who put me on to vaping? My Cardiologist. Yeah... he said I had to walk away from cigarettes..had I ever tried an electronic one? Yep, I had, and they were well beyond "sucked"... he then mentioned vaporizers and said that if I would abandon cigarettes I could have all the ecig I wanted, the nicotine wasnt what was killing me. "Deal!"
Do I vape more? Sure I do. Do I cough less? Yep. Can I walk two miles every night before going to bed... yep. My cholesterol , triglycerides, HDLs, LDLs, VLDLs are all on the decline... oh yeah.... just diagnosed as diabetic and even vaping "dessert" flavors doesnt affect my blood glucose a whit. Booyah. I get my nicotine and satisfy that sweet tooth all in one gloriously wispy cloud of yum....and dont commit harikari while doing it. So, yeah, I vape more....but it looks like I will be around longer as a result too! Vape on!

Some vape with Mods and others with cig sized- that's ok
Some vape at 3.3 volts and others vape at 6+ volts- that's ok
Some vape 3 mg and others vape 36 mg- that's ok
Some vape 20 ml per day and others vape 2 mil per day- that's ok
Vaping is a very personal program and all that matters to me is that they're not smoking.
Is continuously vaping bad for our health- we don't know. Is continuously smoking bad for our health- a resounding and huge YES.

Amen

It's so vast, there really is no right and wrong. Just what "works" :D

I vape more often than I smoked because I can! If I could have smoked inside (never wanted to because of my kids and the smell, burns etc) I probably would have smoked more than the 2 pack a day habit I had. Now that I can vape inside without concern, I do vape whenever I feel like it. No worries here as I know it is better for me and the people I live with. If you have a problem with how others vape then I would offer that is you're problem, not the person vaping all day.

Thank you for telling us all how e-cigs are supposed to be used according to - you.

I vape less than I smoked at work. Way less actually. But I vape a lot more at home than I smoked.
The war, is that I no longer smoke. At all. And I've won that one. Nitpicking the frequency in which I vape (I use less than 1-2ml a day) is not something I care to do. If I want to sit on the couch and kill a clearo in 5 hours. I, can live with it.

I think you need to get some clarity that it's not really your business what others do. And even trading one addiction for one that is drastically less dangerous for your health is still a move forward.

I think I understand what you are trying to say here but I also disagree with your opinion. Perhaps you are new to quitting, therefore I won't take it personally being called stupid since I too am not thinking quite as gracefully towards others at the moment due to being a recent quitter. I too am fighting against judging others based on my definition of the correct way to behave and think.
Nicotine isn't the only addictive quality to smoking and other addictive things about smoking can be more frustrating to get past than the nicotine addiction.
Then there's the difference between nicotine absorption into the body of smoke vs vapor. That's something if you self educate you may very well understand why some feel the need to chain vape whereas they smoked infrequently. Many will trade one addictive habit of inhaling smoke by inhaling vapor, which is in much larger molecules therefore not absorbed in the same amounts. To get the same addiction relief they need to intake more because it isn't absorbed. They can join a forum such as this and find ways to maximize nicotine absorption without chain vaping. They can supplement their need for nicotine with a number of otc remedies and use vaping as a means to only feed their addiction to the habit of smoking. Or they can chain vape.
The road to freedom is an individual one and as I've said many times before , if it leads to a life long freedom from cigarettes isn't that important thing?
Who are we to judge what it takes for another to be and stay free from cigarettes?

Years ago I used "Electronic Cigarettes" and they helped me to quit smoking.

However..
What Im doing now is Vaping...
Its Not an electronic cigarette..
The device doesn't even look like a cigarette .
Its not a nicotine delivery device...
Its a vaporizer of glycerin and flavor...

I'm new to vapin. Been doin it maybe 3 weeks. I catch myself after 15 minutes sometimes and put it down. But mostly I'll hit my pen 2 or 3 times and that's it for awhile. My taste buds are already sensing more flavor in food and I breathe a whole lot better. I quit hackin all day long. From what I've experienced, I believe chain vapin is much less harmful than a pack of cigs or more a day because my body is tellin me so. Nevertheless, I'm gonna cut my nic level in half on my next mixes.:)
