Do you smoke more than before as many people do with ecigs ?

As many people have commented here, you're looking at this the wrong way. You (the OP) seem to be looking at this as if everyone who vapes is doing it to quit an addiction. Personally, I didn't have a desire to get rid of an addiction to nicotine, it really helps me through out the day and honestly, it feels nice. So, I vape more frequently than I smoked, because you simply can't smoke as much as you can vape. If you tried to smoke analogs and keep up with me vaping, you'd probably become seriously ill or at least puke. That's not the nicotine though, that would be the hundreds or thousands of other chemicals you just sucked into your lungs and consequently your bloodstream. Besides, I don't believe it's nicotine that kills but everything else about smoking analogs. tobacco aside, you're also smoking paper and whatever was on the paper including ink for those fancy logos if you actually smoke your cig all the way down of course.

It's good to see that everything is under control, just as my friends say <3

So it means that you all really believe that vapoting (as people who do not want to see the truth) is as healthy as drinking water right ?

Exactly like people were thinking about cigarettes 50 years ago...

For me, doing all of the research that I can I've come to the conclusion that it's healthier than smoking.

People vape for a number of reasons, and over the years I've read many reasons-

-can't quit smoking the traditional way
-moved into a new apartment complex and can't smoke
-can't smoke at their job
-quit smoking a number of years ago and when out with friends occasionally tempted to smoke
-doesn't want to smoke in the house
-medical reasons why nicotine may be beneficial
-weight loss
--cigarettes too expensive
--doesn't like the smell of cigarettes
-just wants to vape

Many reasons have nothing to do with health.

Just as I didn't like being judged when I smoked, I don't want to judge how or why a person decides to vape.

Hello,

It seems that so many people do not understand that electronic cigarettes should be used as cigarettes: it means smoke when you need it and put it back in the drawer.

I see so many people who keep smoking all day long, even at office, and I think that they are so stupid to quit an addiction for a new one, what do you think ?
Thank you for your ideas.

I think you need to change the location on your profile to: "Out in Left Field."

First, it's "vape", not "smoke".

Yes, I vape more than I smoked. If I smoked that much I wouldn't be able to breathe.

But I can vape a lot, even constantly, and not be coughing, or get winded, or stink.

I smoked cigarettes because I NEEDED one.

I vape because I really like it.

I agree with this 100%.... I really do enjoy vaping and not just the act of vaping either. I enjoy the hobby it has become for me..... the rebuilding.... mixing... trying new flavors, devices, tanks and different styles of wicks. It's saving my life, makes my family happy and more importantly it keeps me busy, happy and healthy. Just my :2c:

Yes!! First of all I am NOT one of them who has quit cigarettes entirely. I still have one or two in the morning, and often one later in the day. Sometimes more. Perhaps, over the next couple of months I just won't have any.

I vape constantly. I do this because I like it. Am I addicted? Almost certainly; I can't go more than a couple days without spending several hours on ECF, I can't get through a morning without several cups of coffee, I can't stay away from the cigs for more than a couple of days (yet). I can't go more than a couple of days without visiting the FastTech site (even these days, when i KNOW they aren't listing any new products, and I WON'T get any updates on shipping). But I could never be a "3-cigs-a-day" guy without vaping.

I've lost about 20 pounds while vaping, during the winter period when I normally put on a lot of weight. Vaping makes me snack less, because it replaces not just cigarettes, but also the need for stuffing food in my mouth.

I've taken my mini-lathe and drill-press out of the garage and my ultrasonic cleaner out of the attic, and set them up in my basement to work on custom e-cigg heads. I've ordered glass tubing, and learned how to cut it so it fits the "glassomizer" I bought that was actually plastic. I've wound coils, boiled cotton twine, cotton balls, hemp twine. I've made Mundy's Magic Wire. I've got 40 different flavors of e-juice, 25 different types of heads (multiples of almost all of them) and I still scour the New Arrivals at FT for something else to buy, even though I have 5 shipments from them that are in transit.

My name is Mark, and I am an addict ("Hello Mark"). My life and health are so much better since I started vaping heavily. I'm also having more fun than when I got into RC airplanes, or welding, or any other hobby I can think of.

Got a problem with that?

<Edit>
My name IS Mark, not to be confused with Mark Anthony, whom I quoted. And the "Got a problem with that" was intended for the OP.

Most people who vape use nicotine so they haven't given up one addiction for another. They are still addicted to nicotine. They gave up one delivery system for another. You must be new to vaping. I am too.

When I found a flavor I loved, loved, loved I started buying it in a much lower nicotine percentage. I can vape a whole tank in an hour of the chocolate mint by a vendor in my area - which tastes like Fanny May's chocolate mints to me. When I first found it I know I was feeling a little sick but once I lowered the nicotine I was fine.

As most people have said, vaping isn't smoking. It is a whole new hobby/activity/whatever. Read some more of what people are writing on these forums and you might understand better.

The reason I smoked was for the nicotine in the cigarette, the reason I vape is for the nicotine in the juice. I didnt give up one addiction for another I just gave up the 3999 other chemicals and the smoke.

I realized long ago that in addition to the nicotine, I enjoyed smoking...liked it a lot. Now I enjoy vaping - a lot. I had this discussion with family who said, "you should just quit everything!" My response was to give them a list of ingredients in vaping liquid and chemicals in analog cigs (not to mention the tar from analogs). No one can smell anything when I'm vaping. What they do "sense" is no cig smell on my clothing or myself.

We all have our addictions. Cigarettes, good wine, delicious meals, expensive toys, skydiving, hiking for beautiful views, camping under starry skies, etc, etc. So saying that people have given up one addiction up for another is, I think, a little misguided.

Personally, I loved to smoke. LOVED it. I never once felt like I needed to smoke, or at least never like I didn't want to and needed to. I never wanted to quit, it was enjoyable for me. Smoking was, for lack of a better word, a hobby for me.

The only reason that I have quit smoking and am now vaping is because it's better. Better for me, better for the people around me, and better on my budget.... well... that last one is arguable.

I view vaping as replacing a beloved hobby with a better, more responsible one. In other words: I don't think I "quit smoking," I've straight-up upgraded to vaping.

Vape more? Absolutely!
I feel tons better since I quit the stinkies. I can breathe better, I can smell and taste again. And the fruity-ness of my vape makes the air smell like I'm at the Wonka factory!

And on the plus side I can now entertain the kiddies with them.
I get to pretend I am the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland, I get to pretend I'm a train.
And the favorite of the kids and my coworkers is when I shove one in each nostril, inhale, and blow it out my mouth like a dragon.

Can't do that with a cigarette, now can you.
Like the oompa loompa doompadie doo.
