Hard to say really and I'm not sure how'd you'd compare the two.

When I smoked analogs it was on the order of a pack and a half a day of Marlboro Lights. How many vapes at what nicotine strength would that equate to in a day? Objectively I'd say yes, I probably do vape more often than I smoked but it's different now.

When I smoked I'd smoke 1 or possibly 2 analogs in a sitting. Now I'll pick my e-cig up, take a vape and then set it down. Do I wait 30 minutes to an hour to take another vape? No I don't but then again I also don't vape for 2-6 minutes at a time like I did with an analog either.

The way I look at it, and I know I'm doing this waaaaay too slowly, is the first step was getting off of analogs all together. E-cigs have GOT to be better for you than analogs. The second step is slowly stepping down my nicotine levels. My goal is to go down to 0. At that point I don't care if I still have the physical habit of "smoking" because I feel like I'll have eliminated the vast majority of the unhealthy things associated with it.

Hello,

...electronic cigarettes should be used as cigarettes: it means smoke when you need it and put it back in the drawer...

So that's what I was doing wrong. See, I would always put my cigarettes in an ash tray.

Here's my non-sarcastic reply:
I do not believe I am trading addictions. I was addicted to nicotine when I smoked and dipped and am addicted to nicotine as I vape. The method of delivery has changed, not the addiction. With vaping I get the benefits of nicotine without the side-effects of cigarettes and smokeless tobacco. Therefore, I do not find it stupid to vape as much as I want.

Are you trolling? or are you really trying to save us all from ourselves?

As for me, I'll say that although vaping may not be 'as healthy as drinking water' most people agree (including actual medical doctors) that it's vastly less destructive to your health than traditional tobacco use. What effects may be discovered down the road? Who knows?

Also I wouldn't mind seeing 'the truth' if you've really got something to say then spit it out.

I wasn't even planning to quit smoking but my friends introduced vaping to me and now I'm hooked! I did notice though that I there are times that I can't get enough and other times that I don't even look for my pv as much as I did my pack of cigarettes. Anyway, to make my point, it's up to each individual for what purpose he/she chose to switch and when and how often they vape. To each his own.... My 2¢ worth.

Hello,

It seems that so many people do not understand that electronic cigarettes should be used as cigarettes: it means smoke when you need it and put it back in the drawer.

I see so many people who keep smoking all day long, even at office, and I think that they are so stupid to quit an addiction for a new one, what do you think ?

Thank you for your ideas.

I think if you feel a need to place judgments on people's behavior you won't have many friends.

I think you are confused or are trying to confuse us since you keep referring to vaping as smoking.

I think you don't understand that vaping is not smoking on very fundamental levels.

I think you don't understand that vaping isn't effective if you try to treat it the same as smoking.

I think you don't understand what is in cigarettes that makes them so addictive.

That's what I think.

It's good to see that everything is under control, just as my friends say <3

So it means that you all really believe that vapoting (as people who do not want to see the truth) is as healthy as drinking water right ?

Exactly like people were thinking about cigarettes 50 years ago...

Have you seen the crap they put in water from the tap these days? What chemicals release from your water bottle into the water?
Jumping from an airplane at 3 thousand feet up will kill ya. Jumping from that plane with a parachute might also kill ya but the chances decrease dramatically.
I could go on but I'm thinking you're trying to be combative and are not interested in another point of view beyond your closed minded view.
Did you join this forum to school the uneducated masses on the hazards of vaping or are you just having a bad year?

Perhaps instead of touting how vapors are ignorant (or as you said earlier stupid) people that are trading 1 form of carcinogen for another you might lurk around the forum here and see the advocacy going on, the efforts being made, the science being discussed, the other things that might show you that not everyone is just sucking nicotine in a different form without a clue , or care, as to what they're doing to themselves and/or those around them.

I guess that it's easier to just pick it up and press a button rather than go outside in the cold and come back inside smelling awful.

I've been vaping about 3 weeks or so and as time as gone by I've not vaped as much as I did the first week. I treat it as I did with analogues and take 10-15 draws then putting it down.
Although I did chain vape watching the football last Sunday!
