I just saw another thread and it got me to thinking about craving cigarettes.

I wonder if having a cigarette and realizing how horrible they are removes any cravings.
I know that is exactly what happened to me.

Not only have I not craved a cigarette whatsoever in over a year...
I can't even begin to imagine myself having one and enjoying it in any way.

More background on this question can also be found here...

My first true test was in Las Vegas last week. I was surprised that I did not crave a cigarette for one moment. I was also surprised that just about every American that walked past me wanted to know what I was smoking.... and yet in the UK no one ever gives me a second look. Was a nice conversation stater with the ladies though ;-)

DC2, crave juice only. Thanks for all the insight thru the transitional times, you made it easier. The question is a gray one that ask everyone when does the cig devil lurk. All great polls/questions are thought processing, never craved a smoke and consider myself really lucky, thank you.
My pleasure.

Epic Journey
I started vaping in Jan '10 with one of those cig looking e-cigs and kept on smoking for about a month. I received my eGo in Feb and the first day I got it is the last day I smoked. I craved stinkies for the next few days but about a week later the desire was gone. I don't crave them at all and really never think about them at all. I feel blessed with great devices which enable me to pair the right voltage with right resistance and right juices.

To me, it's kind of like replacing $1 cheeseburgers from McDonald's with a bacon wrapped Filet Mignon :)

35 years of doing anything is hard to shake off. The one time I find myself craving an analog is when I'm almost finished eating something. The first thing that pops into my mind is, " that cig is going to taste good after this".

That was the only time cigs actually tasted good to me. So I just vape my cuban juice from FSUSA or applewood from BWB. That takes care of the craving but I'm amazed that I have the reaction still.

But then again, I still catch myself about to check to see if an ashtray is within reach when I go to bed. LOL:confused:

However, some times i get a craving. but it only happens when im watching a Bette Davis movie:pop:

ROFL. :laugh::lol::lol:

I guess I am the odd one out. If there is a cigarette around, I will sometimes have one. I have no will power! I smoke a LOT less than I used to, though. No more coughing or need to have one when I can't. Vaping has done wonders for me and I am happy with my progress

guess i am the black sheep here, i still smoke 5 to 10 cigarettes a day compared to 40 before and i do enjoy them even more now, in fact about the only ejuice i really like to vape a lot is TastyVapor's Atomic Cinnicide, but to each their own.

James

August 17 smoked 10 cigs, 30 less than my usual 40 cigs a day 3701 cigarettes not smoked in 105 days by using snus, Stonewall, Joye 510, Hello 016, Ken's BoxMod, MadVapes 2xAA Box Mod, WetBox Vaporizer (ecig) and 19 bottles of ejuice partially used , $0.28 per cig X 3701 Cigs = $1036.28 diverted from cigarettes to Vaporizer (ecig). OMG I have spent over $2025.59 in 92 days on this stuff but bare in mind that i have 3 months worth of supplies and my old cigarette cost was $330 a month

sorry i forgot to vote

Lol James. It is expensive. I joined PIF and now I can try all kinds of different flavors for the cost a a stamp and in return others can do the same.

The nice part for me is that I no longer need the morning or evening cig and I don't have to make sure there are cigarettes in the car when I go somewhere. In fact . . . . . I make sure there aren't. :) My habits have changed and I hope they keep changing. :)
