I think it needs to be your personal decision.
I rarely vape around my youngest, who is 26. He is ecstatic that I quit the stinkies!
When I was pregnant with both of my kids, my docs both told me NOT to quit smoking because the baby would go through withdrawals with me, strange, huh? I was told my son would be low birth weight because of smoking, he was born 8 lbs, 8 1/2 oz, which was like passing a watermelon for my size, 5'1. I did not smoke in the house.

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
My grandchildren were around me and other family members from their mother's side when I smoked. I will vape in front of them now but my mixes don't contain that much vapor and I don't blow it near them.

I've been explaining that I'm trying to stop smoking the stinky cigarettes and that this is helping me to do that. They seem to approve of that because they really hate cigarette smoking.

I never smoked in the house and I never smoked in my car if anyone was with me. If my daughter came outside to talk to me while I was smoking, I would make her go inside so she wasn't getting exposed to my smoke.

Vaping...I am always vaping around my daughter (car and at home) but she will be also be 18 in a few weeks. She can always tell when I have a new flavor.

Now if I were in your shoes, I would be sensitive about who I was vaping around in the house or car. The smell could make potentially make nausea worse for someone with morning sickness and then there's the hormones which can be a bit out of whack in pregnancy. Personally, I would not vape in the same room as an infant or other impressionable young children.

I smoked, not in the house, around my three, now adult, daughters during their youth. They have forgiven me, although that doesn't excuse my ol' addiction. And no, none of 'em took up smoking. I was a terrific bad example!

My five G-babies, 4-8 years, have never seen me smoke nor vape, although they live within three miles. Why? 'Cause that's my decision to avoid any undesirable influence (we're are talkin' children here) . Besides, it's now so much easier to wait for a vape!

I will say that my G-babies do hug me a LOT longer since I've been vaping!!!

Idk, I think an addiction to anything is not good, but first of all, I believe that vaping is not smoking, and if I believe this and tell it to others, I would much rather see a generation vape as opposed to smoke cigarettes. Not starting is always best, but teenagers and young adults, most of the time, will try just to try, and use just because their peers do. I'm just saying I'd rather it be an ego than a Marlboro.

I vape around my three daughters, 7, 8, and 12. But...they used to see me smoke and they know that this is a much better alternative to what I used to do. I don't vape in enclosed spaces with them, and I never do it when they are in close proximity to me.
But yes, I do in the house.
Also, I educate all of my kids about the possible risks involved with vaping, and that they are NEVER to touch my juices or vape gear at all. I keep all of my gear out of reach and difficult to get to for them, so that there is no accidents. For me, it's better to be open and tell the kids that they need to make their own decisions when they are adults, but to be as informed about everything they can be before they undertake any activity, such as vaping.
Just my :2c:

I'll add to your post (which I'm in complete agreement with) I don't feel nicotine is as addictive as smoking is. Something else in cigarettes is more addicting than just the nic. How else can we explain that there are so many vapers that drop their nic very quickly yet could not, for even fear of death, stop smoking?

Realistically, would teens actually get addicted to nic? Most of us, there are a few that are well and truly hooked on nic, are able to drop our nic levels relatively easily. Some vape just to satisfy that hand to mouth habit that was lovingly cultivated over the course of YEARS.

I'm one of the ones that would rather see my grandkids vape instead of smoke. If I ever found out that one of them started smoking, I would get them a vape kit. The earlier the better. Nicotine is not the monster the ANTZ have portrayed.

Fruits and nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, not sure I agree with that,,,,,,

sometimes the government goes too far, I am the first to admit,,,,,but children are seriously damaged by second hand smoke every year. It's illegal to beat your kid with a 2x4,,,,,,why shouldn't it be illegal to smoke in an enclosed area with them??

We all groan about being "forced" into the smoking section with smokers all the time,,,,,,,,,imagine if you were four and had asthma, and every car ride was the smoking section and you were strapped in?????
