Does anyone else not freak out when they forget their PV?

Hey all, 33 days smoke free now. For me, smoking while driving was one of my worst habits. I used to smoke about 3 cigarettes per 20 minute trip from my house to work.... go home for lunch during the day and that's 4 trips/12 cigarettes in driving alone. If I didn't have any cigs while driving, I'd be at the first gas station I saw.

A few days ago, I went for a drive and forgot my PV. W/ cigs, this would have initiated defcon 5 panic. W the PV, I just shrugged it off and went on with my trip. Anyone else feel less of a need for their PV than they did for analogs? FWIW, I don't vape as much as I used to smoke, but I do stealth vape at work and go out w/ the smokers from time to time.

Funny, I was just like you, smoke like a chimney while driving. Some days for work I drive all day.

Just this last weekend I went to visit my parents and the trip is about 2.5 hours. I was 2hrs in before I even remembered my PV was in my coat pocket still. I vaped a few drags and finished the trip. It was actually a smoke shop that I used to always stop at on this particular trip that reminded me I had not vaped the whole trip. If it wasnt for seeing the GIANT sign they have that says DISCOUNT SMOKES HERE I would have made it all the way without a vape. It helps my wife and kid were with me since I dont vape as much driving with company in the car.

I usually keep a mod with me with two fully charged 18650's. Just in case, i also always have two ego battaries as well. I may be crazy, but if the zombies start attacking I will at least be able to vape for a while. Any I usually have 50 mls of juice.
I'd like to see you get through all 50 mls with two 18650s and two ego batts ;).

Right now I keep a handful of batteries with me, some juice to last a day or two and there's almost always a mod in my hand or within arms reach.

I definitely understand the car thing. I'd smoke 3 in 30 minutes, and always coordinated my gas station stops to be at the end of a cigarette so I didn't have to re-light an old one, I could just get a fresh one. I'd drive around the block if I had to. Glad I don't worry so much about that now.

However, I have to say, there's definitely less pull with the PV than there was with smokes, and I'm sure I could make it through a day without it if I had to...not that I'm prepared to put myself in that position intentionally.

i had a few incidents where i left my home for a full day really unprepared, and neglected to bring extra juice/batts/cartos. this was after having used the assembled pv a great deal the night before. when i first realized it i had a kind of 'oh poo' moment, then it subsided. when the battery died and it would be 6 hrs before i could go home i didn't really sweat it. i did buy a djarum off a coworker and stretched it over 3 breaks (minus filter), but it was pretty gross.
i've made it 6 hours in a shift without feeling a need to vape/stealth, but that's because breaks are opportunistic. if i'm occupied i don't really feel the world needs to stop because i need my fix. vaping is pretty awesome because i am able to vape inside and i definitely take advantage of it.

You got it right Nord.

I have 72-96hrs of controlled vaping ability with me at all times. I have been carrying this as a back-up with me , while I toot on my other KgO fitted with a 3.5ml tank. )

Could probably stretch it further if zombies were between me and some juice or a charging location..

So,

The next thing I need to do is plant a few caches of juice, cartos and solar powered battery chargers between me and the next safety zone.

Why, do you ask?

Zombieland rule #1 - Cardio.

You can not effectively run for long distances at a quick pace if you are WINDED FROM ANALOGS..

Seems like a legit reason to keep vaping, even during a zombie invasion... :vapor:

Unless I am not going to be gone for more than an hour I will just deal with it, otherwise if possible I will immediately turn around and go back home to get it. Usually I pull my PV out before I'm even out of my neighborhood so I usually just turn around and get it.

I haven't forgotten it in a long while though since I've developed a bit of a ritual of topping off my carto before leaving, so its become rather hard to forget it.

My eGo batt died while I was at my in-laws (without my backup kit in my backpack). I tweaked for a bit & then got over it. Then we went to the grocery & stopped at a cousin's house... only tweaked once more.
Got home, put on a new batt. No problemo! I'd have been seriously wigging out if it was analogs.

I'm the same. Which really surprised me because I was a heavy smoker. I know we do get nicotine, but I don't think nearly as much as we think. I consider this pretty good news. I make a point of not bringing in on short trips now. Very short trips. I do have a disposable in the glove box if I think I'm gonna die!

After 3 years of vaping, I still seem to have a PV with me (usually in my hand) all the time. It's like my phone...I always know where it is. I left my house today with a roughstack, a lavatube and a darwin. lol I would definitely know if I left my PV at home within the first 2 minutes of being in the car.

Howdy Queen! I'm with you........3 years later I always have my PV within arms reach. In the car it usually rests in my beverage tray. I can't remember where my smokes used to sit?:)

My two cents:

I quit stinkies about 7 months ago. Went the first week with no ciggies, no vaping. Rough week. Then I got my first PV that actually worked - Joye 510 with low-res cartos - and vaped 0 nic until about a week ago. Before vaping nic it was no big deal if I forgot my PV, which come to think of it is how I managed to forget it in the first place. Caused me nearly zero grief by not having it, except for the initial "oh crap".

No data on how I'd feel about it now, since it hasn't happened yet. But this thread brings to mind something interesting; namely, the apparent fact that nicotine by itself is not nearly as addictive as when it is accompanied by MAOI's that are present in tobacco smoke. Bottom line: by vaping, I think we're getting the pleasurable aspects of nicotine without as much of the addictiveness. (And I think we all know about all the other truly sh!tty things we're going without by passing on the stinkies).

Because I'm really enjoying a little nicotine (maybe 6 mg), and don't give much of a crap if I'm addicted or not, my plan is to get boatloads of 1000 mah Ego-T batteries and (at least) an equal number of atomizers and tanks , so I can have about 20 flavors going on at all times, each with its own dedicated tank and atomizer, and have them stashed all over the place. Right now I'm down to just two, after lending one setup to a friend I just ordered an Ego-T starter kit for. (He took a few hits of Atomic Cinnacide and handed me his debit card).

In conclusion: Fvck Big Tobacco.
