Kind of a dry episode, IMO.

Its becoming pretty obvious that the 'sideways' story is what would have happened if Jacob was not the protector of the island and guardian of the 'smoke monster'.

Did I catch it right in hearing something about Locke/maninblack can not get wet or enter the ocean?

I think the alternate story is what happens if the island never existed. Remember at the beginning of the season when the island was underwater? I think that maybe they will find a way to erase everything that has happened thus far and the alternate storyline will be the ultimate reality, but with them having deja vu about being on the island.

Yeah, MIB said he couldn't travel over (through?) water. Apparently in his John Locke form he can, though. Which seems weird to me. I think he is maybe made out of or uses the special electromagnetic forces on the island, maybe that has something to do with it.

And yeah, I was expecting a much better episode. The only one that I really liked this season was last week's (Richard's backstory).

oh i saw a serious problem with last nights episode how come jin and son where not married. Everyone so far life changed when jacob touched them which started the chain of events that lead them to the island. But here is the problem jin and son first met jacob at there wedding. Which means that in the alternate reality when they came to LAX they should have been married non the less. Them being married had nothing to do with jacob since he didnt touch them till they already where.

These writers are really on top of this story. I don't think they would have made a mistake this clarring. It has to be a well thought out and on purpose action to have them not married. And if it has to do with Jacob touching them, they could always through in a scene showing him touching them when they were children. I think it is something different than that. What???? Got no idea.

I was really missing Desmond and am looking forward to how they are going to use this character in the final weeks of this adventure.

I think the alternate reality is just that - alternate, so anything is possible in this reality. I mean, Jack has a son. I don't think it has anything to do with WHEN Jacob touched them - this is a completely totally different universe that we're seeing in the alt.

I think Desmond is going to have something to do with maybe sinking the island or the "failsafe" in case the MIB succeeds.

I have said it from the beginning desmond is the key to the whole thing. Now while i doubt they will do it.
Desmond has the ability to travel through time and space and can quite litirally change the timeline. im guessing whitmore knows of this and is going to try to use it.

I mean seeing previous seasons we know they love to play with the timeline

Loved last nights episode. IMO the best one of this season. Bloody Brilliant.

One note of confirmation. Hume's driver last night. I say that he was in the mental hospital with Hugo and was the guy repeating the 'Lost numbers'. The numbers on the hatch and the numbers that Hugo won the lottey with. Can anyone confirm this?

I think he was the guy that was on the ship with Desmond that was ALSO traveling through time, and he died on the ship after helping Desmond and Syied get to the communications room to call Penny.
Or thats how I remember it "Brother"

Uhh what? I'm not sure if you're watching the same Lost as I am, but I'm pretty sure we see the Island underwater/nonexistent in the season 6 premiere.

Anyway, about last night episode - I was thinking that Desmond is not "special" genetically. I'm pretty sure it's because he had been living in the hatch for 3 years, and over time he was exposed to a significant amount of emf (electromagnetic field). So, this caused him to be more prone to being displaced from time. Or should I say, time and space.

This next thought is probably not as likely, but I'm sure there is another person in the Lost universe that could survive the same experience as Desmonds, Walt. We have known that Walt has been a pretty special character for a long time, and I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up (even thought he has grown up a LOT)

Whole Hurley thing is annoying me now. Can't believe he is listening to Michael and sympathizing with him...
I mean, it was sweet when he had the flashbacks on the beach but the whole getting to Locke thing really pokes me the wrong way...

Gawd I can't wait to see what happens in the end.

Will Sun and Jin ever be reunited...the biggest tease ever.

And man, Locke can't catch a break!

What did it mean when John locke ie smoke monster asked Desmond, do you know who I am?
Desmond said yes, you are John Locke!
Everyone that KNEW John knew when the talked to the smoke monster he was NOT John Locke, in fact most asked...who are you?

And why did "John Locke" push Desmond down the well, I mean if he is the smoke monster and wanted Desmond dead, would'nt he have formed into the monster and killed Desmond?

I know its so strange, Desmond so compliant after Whitmore did that experiment on him.

And it looks like in the sideway flash HE is the one getting everyone back together, I wonder what he found out between his coffee with Penny and getting the list of names from his driver of the people on flight 815, that made him believe?

And him running over John Locke like he did makes me believe that in one of his Time travels he had already been in the situation he was tonight when John pushed him down the well......

these are my predictions as of now
1 he isn't all there, a nice part of him is in the other dimension.
2 he saw some form of the future
3 he will quite literally disappear when saide goes to shoot him next week.
4 saide doesn't shoot him but fires a shot down the well
5 the dimensions or rather time lines are destined to somehow merge

AND NOW THE MOST LIKELY SCENARIO
Hopefully im wrong but they are setting it up perfectly
the smoke monsters gets off the island and everyone dies but its ok everyone lives in the other dimension and they now remember everything "que the journey dont stop believing song" end credits. lols
