Does anyone else watch LOST?

Excellent point! I didn't put that Jacob's touch thing together. Great catch!

I wonder if they're able to kill each other with them all being touched or not? I didn't put this together right off, until after the episode I came across some pictures, one was of Jacob touching little Kate's nose when she was trying to steal from the store. Then I started thinking about all the other encounters and what Richard said in the Black Rock and I came to this idea.

did jacob really touch jack when he handed him the candy bar? or did i miss it?. that is a good theory. i see mine is panning out, seems like Richard really is from the Black Rock. though it was jacobs touch and not the water that seems to have kept him young.

As soon as they showed the black rock I had already assumed that's where Richard was from, and they proved that last night. I would say that when the candy bar was handed to him, the hands touched.

again, pretty sure the people at the temple are VERY old, and came from the ship (Black Rock, if i remember right) they have survived so long because of the water in the temple. also the reason Richard stays young looking. which would explain his permanent eye shadow, sailors get lonely from months at sea... Richard was popular.

Knew it first HAHA :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I love Kate. She makes me melt like butter.
anyway every episode i watched i always tried to figure out what is going to happen. i remember 1 show. do you remember Hurleys girlfriend who he fell in love with on he island few yrs ago. Well after the girl died i seen a scene where they were all in a mental institute and the Hurleys girlfriend was there. they showed her face. Thats when i said to myself OK then this is all a dream. they are all in a mental institute. But then the next season came and i said that was wrong lol. man i love that show. but its been dragging on now and i want a finale and it better be a good one. and it better not be like The Sopranos Ending either or i will die lol

i beleive jack is going to replace jacob and since the smoke monster is stuck in locks form which they said before that he cant change anymore they will be the good and evil of the island. Since the beginning of the show lock and jack have been on the other end of the spectrum.

I didn't catch where they said he couldn't change anymore!8-o Makes me wonder what else I haven't 'caught'!!!

yeah that new chick that jacob asked to protect the 6 remaining candidates said it like 2 or 3 episodes ago.

Oh yeah seriously this episode was simply amazing

and these damn writters are trying so hard not to say the smoke dudes real name.

Theres tons of theories online but i still think the island is related to the lost city of Atlantis.

Atlantis was a large island in the Atlantic Ocean which lay in front of the mouth of the pillars of Heracles (straits of Gibraltar). Their inhabitants became a spiritually ugly race and for that reason Zeus and the gods destroyed them by letting the island be swallowed up by the sea. Atlantis was ruled by a confederation of kings and its power extended over Libya as far as Egypt and over Europe as far as Tuscany. About 8000 years before the Trojan War, Atlantis attempted to conquer the whole of the Mediterranean world but was defeated by the Athens of those remote times and its allies. Later, when the gods perceived that Atlantis was inhabited by an evil race, they let the island be destroyed by the third of the floods which preceded the Flood in the time of Deucalion 1. The first ten kings of Atlantis (five pairs of twins) were all sons of Poseidon and cleito 2. The first born was Atlas, who was appointed to be king over the rest and after whom the island was called. The legend of Atlantis is not connected to other myths except for the names of Atlas and Poseidon.

if you notice the while richard was on the blackrock and it crashed into what looked like the top of the statue which ment the water was really high. which would coincice with the legend of atlantis being under sea.

Now as for jacob he is most likely the son of poseiden

When the gods divided among themselves different regions of the earth, the island of Atlantis was allotted to Poseidon, who settled there the children he had begotten of a mortal woman.

In the middle of the island there was a fertile plain, and in its centre there stood a mountain where the autochthons (offspring of the soil) Evenor 4 and Leucippe 6 lived with their daughter cleito 2. When they died, Poseidon married this young woman, and proceeded to alter the landscape, making the hill impregnable. And so he carved circular belts, three of sea and two of land around the hill, isolating it completely, for at that time sailing was unknown. He also brought up springs of warm and cold water, producing all kinds of food.

Much of some of these references can be similarly found in Egyptian lore also.

Last night episode made me think of a Twilight Zone show. There was a traveler that asked to stay the night in a monestary. While being taken to his room for the night they pasted a cell from which came moans. The man was given food and water and bid goodnight. But he kept hearing the moans and ventured out to the door where the moans came from. He spoke to the weak pathetic man inside who told him that the monks where keeping him against his will and treating him badly. He poor sole asked the traveler to release him. Then a Monk discovered them and the traveler was taken before the head monk. This monk told the traveler that the man in the cell was evil and if released would bring evil to the world. This made no sense to the traveler and he believed the monks to be crazy. So later he crept to the cell and released the poor man. The man emerged from the cell and became stronger and more handsom as he laughed and strode mightly out of the monestary.

The traveler had to then spend the rest of his life trying to catch evil and imprisoning him once again.

I enjoyed last nights Richard episode. But there wasn't much I hadn't already thought would be the case. But the actor playing Richard really deserves a Emmy nomination for this acting in this episode. Really outstanding!

Also interesting that everyone, except Isabella, was guilty of evil. The doctor, the preist, the ship's captain, even Ricardo.

Yeah, why isn't Richard a "candidate"?

His acting was amazing. This season does seem to be rushed, but I guess compared to the rest of the seasons, it's a welcome change. Last night's episode was an exeption, though. I love how they got us to question who out of Jacob and the man in black is actually evil and if they are actually in hell, or even alive for that matter?

The only thing that is still bothering me is that none of the Lostites are really questioning what the unfathomable stuff that happens on the island really is or how it's happening. If I was Sawyer and fake Locke told me he was the smoke monster, I would be asking what the hell the smoke monster was.

Interesting theories...Spoilers ahead - don't read if you don't want to know some details about upcoming episodes.

We saw Jacob explain that the island is a 'cork' in that it keeps the 'darkness' (i.e. smokey) contained so it will be unable to spread to the rest of the world. In the season premier we saw the island underwater as the Losties flew over, which makes me think that the flash-sideways are either the result of Smokey actually making it off the island or being killed which would make the island not needed. Then the Losties are able to go on with their lives as if Jacob had never intervened.

The 2nd or 3rd last episode is going to be a great one where none of the original cast featured, but will be the Jacob and MIB back-story. That looks like the point where smokey will be explained along with the powers and true purpose of the island. The casting list features Jacob and MIB's mother played by Allison Janney, should be interesting in light of Flockes/MIBs comments about having a crazy mother and how Jacob stole his body.
