I feel like I missed something. Is this just a random proclamation? If it is, I think you should re-word it just a little bit (in the form of a question like, "Is there a feeder that is designed to feel a little bit better in an elderly hand?" or something like that) and give it its' own thread. You might be pleasantly surprised by answers that lead you to feeders whose creators did give thought in their designs to just such an issue.
Or maybe I just missed something. If so, please disregard.
He is reporting on his own individual experience. What needs to be re-worded?
Bottom feeders are great, but unless you get VV with a side button, just about anyone with arthritic or bad hands will tell you that the reach to the top button to fire it "can be" a problem for us. The taller the bottom feeder, the harder it might be, too, esp. when the squonk bottle is down a bit from that top button.
Of course, this can be true of tube mods as well........the key is finding a design that works if you have a handicap.
In VV bottom feeder w/side switch (reo, bogger box, etc.) is going to be easier to fire for old arthritic hands.
I have no idea why you objected to this post. What is your personal experience with "broken" hands/wrists, stiff and arthrtiic, or injured, by the way, with regard to mod testing? I can tell you that i've tested quite a few and actually have the handicap this poster speaks about. It matters a great deal. Maybe his hands don't wrap around the box mods very well, I dunno.
for older hands, sometimes metal is cold and for arthritic hands, this can be quite painful. I have to have a "cozy" or leather holder on my stuff. Wood is better for us. Also, size, shape and bulk all have to be tried out. When you have a handicap, you have special needs.
All that said, I still love box mods.

Mostly because they sit up better when you set them down, don't roll, and sometimes are easier rather than harder to grip (for some people only) due to not having to close hand too tight down on them.
