Although I'll defend your (or anyone else's) right to smoke, I'm somewhat annoyed that you're one of the supposed 70% of vapers that Zeller used to advance the claim that vaping is "ineffective".
Oh, I hear you. But I made it a point to mention this in my comments to the FDA and that it wasn't addressed (even a little bit) in the way I brought up, on Final Rule doesn't sit well with me. It also is clear to us, I think, that the 70% could easily be a lot of people like me who mostly vape, have greatly reduced smoking usage, but are being treated as 'having the inherent problem that comes with smoking at all.'
Now that pendulum appears to be swinging the way of anti-vaping, I'm thinking that's going to occur with vaping. That vaping at all will be considered an inherent problem. So, the people that vape say for 30 days to quit smoking and then quit vaping (within 30 days) will be probably championed. And the people who vape nic during transition to less/non-smoking but go down to zero nic will be treated as having an inherent problem. All other vapers will likely be seen as, what the heck is wrong with you people that you need to vape (at all)?
If vaping and smoking are nothing like each other, which I find a bit disingenuous, but also think the distinctions are always good to make note of, I don't see why vapers would be troubled by a person that smokes in moderation, other than it does allow opposition to make ridiculous points like this one, that I, and others like me, still have an inherent problem when it comes to smoking (at all).
