Does everyone refill carts?

Hi,

I am new here and am awaiting my kit from V4L.

I was just wondering if anyone just replaces the cartomizers instead
of refilling them? Is it too expensive to do that?

I refill.....a 5ml bottle lasts me a week.....I have only opened two of my original five cartomizers and am using them after more than a week.....first I used the method of putting eliquid in the condom and backflushing them....couple of days ago I tried the method of pulling the white endcap off and cutting a small hole in the condom to make a soft mouthpiece.....a fill will last me for hours.....

I wouldnt say EVERYONE does, but the majority of people do because it is more economical. juice costs alot less than buying a new carto everytime it runs out. It all depends on if you wanna spend the extra to not have the fuss, and if you can get cartos in all the flavors you want.

also refilling them tends to not only be cheaper, but seems to taste better than the pre-filled ones. at least that's been my experience. i've noticed several others saying the same thing. could just be a rumor though

In a LOT of cases, a cart that I have refilled a couple times just seems to taste really robust.

Everyone has their own opinion though.

With taste being so subjective, it's hard to tell what you will like. Refilling is very cost effective, and if you have juices from other vendors that you love, it's easy to do.
Carts can be pretty expensive if you do NOT refill.

I dont smoke, so I will speak for my wife. She refills. I got her a kit yesterday and she likes it so far. Only had to top up once for today.

Here's one way of looking at it: When you buy pre-filled carts, you are basically paying someone else to refill your carts for you. The expense is in the preparation.

Yeah I'm just now starting to refill mine.... Just boiled the crap out of the cartomizers to get them nice and clean for when my sampler packs get here. I found that when boiling them it works best to twist tie them together so that they are all standing straight up, get a pot that is big enough for a strainer to go in it so the bottom of the strainer is about halfway from the bottom of the pot. Then stand the carto's straight up in the strainer and let boil for a while. None of them had any issues with losing the wrapping that they are in.

I am about 7 days into it now and I have refilled a few carts...
I even bought some empty carts and I have filled them from scratch...
I refilled them with 5ml's from V4L and with Tasty Vapor...

I refill my cartomizers (carts and cartomizers are not the same thing) all the time. They can be refilled many, many times. And if they start to behave strangely you can clean them and refill some more. I simply wash them in hot tap water and rinse with cheap vodka then let dry. And I use the condom fill method now. It is super easy!

I prefer new cartos,but once a month or so I clean them up and I leave them empty.When I get new liquid flavors,I fill up 5 or 6.Usually I just top off for a day or two.

My husband doesn't refill his cartomizers. He travels extensively and prefers the convenience of just tossing a cart when he's done with it instead of having to carry juice and refill them. He isn't a heavy vaper and usually only goes through about one cartomizer a day so it hasn't been that expensive compared to analogs.

can you clean a cartomizer in the dishwasher instead of boiling? say in a bag or someting so they dont get flushed.

I like to refill my cartomizers with other e-liquid flavors. Cartomizers seem to be quite resilient, I have been refilling and using the same one for over 2 weeks of everyday usage and it still performs great!

another great use for cartomizers that my friend cappy discovered was to use them on mods, leave the top off and use a brass or steel tip from super t and vape in that form. It works great!

Does a cartomizer have an open end on it. I thought it was like a refilled cart and has a place for filler material. How could you use a t-tip on the end of this I quess I am a little confused. I have never used a cartomizer.
