Does a cartomizer have an open end on it. I thought it was like a refilled cart and has a place for filler material. How could you use a t-tip on the end of this I quess I am a little confused. I have never used a cartomizer.

First of all, the filler in a cartomizer cannot be removed, or you will ruin the cartomizer, there is a plastic tube in the center of the filler with a metal wire that is your conductor. You do not want to mess with this or you can ruin the cartomizer. When refilling a cartomizer, you just drip fluid on the edges of the inside of the cart to saturate the filler materal. It is a good idea when refilling the cart to reinsert the plastic plug that came in the center of the bottom of the cart to prevent leakage.

With a conventional 901, 801 or 510 cart you do not have to worry about this leakage.

Do not overfill the cart, put in the drops slowly and keep an eye on the filler and when you see it getting moist and staying that way do not add anymore liquid.

On a cartomoizer, the tip that you vape from can be pried off, there are vids available on refilling cartomizers, that instead of putting the 2 plugs back into you can push in a 901 metal tip and vape in that fashion but I only do this when vaping on one of my mods like my GLV 5v

Below is a link to a recent thread on the V4L forum with the quickest easiest cart filling technique. It's really simple, most people using them routinely refill or topoff. One of the common arguments you see between 2 piece and 3 piece PV's is that people criticize the cartomizers as being disposable and more expensive. Since the atomizer is built into the cartomizers (which is why they cost more initially), you can reuse them for months and the cost is significantly minimized by refilling. I primarily lean toward menthol flavors, so buy prefilled menthol carts and refill with various menthol juices.

Check out the videos from Leaford at this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...tomizer-condom-filling-method-taryn-spin.html

The condom method of refilling mentioned by a number of people, including jamvector (above) works very well. I would recommend, after doing so, that you blow through the mouthpiece end just slightly and then clean up any liquid remaining on the battery end afterwards. Since the KR808 batteries are vulnerable it seems like a reasonable precaution to me. After doing this I get the taste of liquid in my mouth less often too.

I've tried removing the mouth piece cap and refilling that way (both dripping and syringe), but the condom method seems to me to work better.

EDIT: Guineahill, below mentioned a preference to do this via the mouth piece end. I agree, and realize I failed to mention that. My post might even make it sound like I do the opposite ... I don't. But, that has no bearing on the advice I gave on gently blowing out a little.

Yeppers, been vaping for a month now, and with how often I refill them... it is much cheaper for me to refill rather than replace!

Hi,

I am new here and am awaiting my kit from V4L.

I was just wondering if anyone just replaces the cartomizers instead
of refilling them? Is it too expensive to do that?

Thanks.
