Does the vapor leave a lingering odor in a room?

This is one of the few things I've been wondering the last couple days, and haven't seen a lot on it. I've read that there is no odor, but I've seen a couple posts that said the user blew vapor toward someone else and they could smell whatever flavor it was. If you vape a flavor in a room for a day, can someone else walk into the room and smell it?

Obviously there's no floating smoke cloud of carcinogens, but it might affect some of my flavor choices if my wife has to suffer through them. ;)

Yes, but it really depends on the flavor of the eliquid. The lingering probably wouldn't be more than 5 minutes for the more pungent flavors. I have a French Toast from Virgin Vapor that fills the room with the smell and it's strong but it dissipates in a reasonable amount of time. In the office people walking by would most definitely notice. It's a great smell but it attracts attention.

Other flavors you can't smell a thing and are great for stealth vaping.

in my experience, it depends on the juice and the individual. the scent of some of my juices is so faint that only about 1 out of 20 people will detect it at all...and that one person may actually like the smell...or not. however, there are certain juices that just about everyone can detect...and the vast majority will all love the smell of one (for instance, malty toffee), and hate the smell of another (for instance, anything with maple in it).

I've had sort of mixed reactions from this, but typically people around can smell them. It's not as potent as an analog, it doesn't leave them gasping for air, or asking for a window to be opened typically. It's something like smelling someone's cologne (Not the old lady that just took a bath in her musk before she left the house) when they walk by. I don't think it clings to your clothes the same way as smoke does either.

Thats all good to hear, I was wondering the same myself as Iv been having a sneaky puff in my office and wondered whether my boss could smell it. I mainly have the tobacco flavours during the day and keep my fruities for home, so glad to hear the tobacco doesnt linger. I imagine the coffe flavours would be detected tho as they all seem to taste like a coffee pot thats been left to dry up, bad mistake buying them I reckoned. I tried adding cream flavour to them, pointless

Most of the flavors I've vaped leave a good smell and/or no smell in the room. The only flavor that has left an unpleasant smell was a Kretek flavor that when vaped, gave off an odd smell that sometimes smelled like some funky hippie soap (I think the smell is from a "honey" flavor) or as it aged, it smells a bit like wet dog. I no longer vape that flavor indoors for that reason.

With the vapes I use, my mother, who is a non-smoker, says she can't smell anything at all. I've still been relegated to outside though, as my dad is still on cigars and mum says me smoking my e-cig inside encourages dad to think he can smoke his cigars inside as well. When I'm at home I can smoke in bed though, as my husband, who is also a non-smoker says he can't smell them most of the time, and if I'm using a really strong flavor he thinks it smells nice, but he can't smell it unless I blow it directly into his face.

Eciggerettes leave nothing what so ever which lingers in the room, some people say there can be an occasional reall light smell but my parents are massive anti smokers and i mean big time and they have never mentioned it when coming into my room

A strong tobacco or any very stong-scented juice with a high VG ratio that creates heavy vapor will leave behind some light odor (NOTHING like cigarettes). It can also cause a film on the windshield/car windows. I experienced this. I never smoked cigarettes in my house car or office. I vaped like a lab monkey thinking there would be zero odor and my car windows got a film on them and there was a musky scent from the juice. It was easy to clean and the scent is gone. Vaping lighter juices in the car and office with 80% or higher PG solved the issue. At home we have purifiers and there have been no odor or other issues.

I was vaping in a large rec room when my brother walked in from outside and said "what's that smell", then his wife walked in and said "Mmmmm, I smell strawberries. I was vaping strawberry. So some strong fruity flavors do leave a lingering aroma but not for very long. And for you office sneakers, put an air freshener on your desk that smells similar to what you are vaping and then when somebody asks what that smell is you can say it's your air freshener. If you vape a tobacco flavor than I guess that won't work. :p
