Hey guys and gals, first time creating a "new" thread in this forum.

Well, the title says it all: Does vaping have the same "aging" effect on the body as smoking?

My fiance brought it up to me a couple weeks ago, she said I look older than my (likely identical) twin brother, and she blames it on my vaping (as I vape pretty much all the time). She says it is because nicotine causes the body's blood vessels to become constricted.

But I also have been a much more frequent smoker and have/had been smoking longer than my twin brother too (I am 31, have been smoking pretty much since I was about 15 years old, unfortunately).

I still smoke the occasional cigarette, but far less than I did before.

Thoughts?

I don't believe there is enough data to tell, but I would blame it on the cigarettes hands down. Have you really been vaping for long enough to even consider it a factor?

Nicotine actually helps the creation of new blood vessels (this comes from an actual study I read about in the '90's or early 2000's)

A little trick I found that can help with the look of your skin: Get a good face scrub and some skin moisturizer. I figured women must be doing it for a good reason and guess what: there's a good reason :D Just don't buy the cheap stuff; that's a waste of time and money.

I would blame the cigarettes mostly but also remember if you vape a lot up your water intake. Dehydration can make your skin very dull and doughy like and make the fine lines more noticeable.

^^This.

You may not notice it but vaping really dehydrates you, sometimes to the point that it was giving me splitting headaches when I first started vaping. That could have also been the cigarette cravings but drinking water most of the time fixed the issue.
