My hubby was thrilled that I gave up cigs and is very supportive with the vaping although he's not thrilled with all the money I've spent. He's always in his own little world dealing with work and sometimes he gets me so angry because he takes it out on my sometimes and it makes me want to smoke a cig just to piss him off but I would only be hurting myself. BUT one of my BFF's has taken up vaping right after I did and supports me all the way. She is a non-smoker and vapes 0mg nicotine and it has taken care of her hand to mouth behavior.
I also love all the support I get from this forum! You people ROCK!!!

My lady friend is on the fence about vaping. She's VERY happy that I've finally quite smoking, and I'm VERY happy that I'm not getting nagged to death about it on a daily basis ;) She is one of those people that never smoked, not even a puff, so it was hard for her to understand why I couldn't just stop smoking.

Besides the fact that she's happy I've quit the cigarettes, shes still not overly impressed with the amount of PV's I've acquired in the short time I've been vaping. She's right though, I've gone a bit crazy with this new hobby, but I've assured her that I'm done buying expensive toys....for awhile ;)

One time I spilled vape juice on the bed, that really ...... her off!! LOL LOL

LOL, well juice the bed, that's good stuff. In recent news I converted my wifes best friend, so now my wife wants to start vaping, after 2 years of laughing at me now she wants me to help her get started........what to do? What to do? I think I will get her the silliest looking mod and tank I can find or maybe the drip on demand with a 4 inch gooseneck, just so I can tell her how stupid she looks lol.

it is a shame. I am so glad my wife is supportive and all. The cost is minimal when you look at $40 50 per carton per week +. remind you spouse of that and keep looing at any new research. But I am convinces that Any risk in Vaping is minimal compared to smoking. I was begining stage COPD with high blood presure. last check up my Dr was tickled my breathing was better and BP was the lowest he had seen in years and that is only 3 weeks into vaping I can only imagine what I will be like in a year!!!

Skip
remember marrage is love and support
I have been with my wife 32 years.

I'm fortunate to have the support of my husband. I've quit before using other methods and it never stuck. When I told him about wanting to try vaping to help me cut back, he was all for it. When my set up came, he helped me put it together. Here we are now, 3 months later, and except for the 3 drags I' took off of 2 separate cigarettes during the first month, I have quit for the last time!

A couple of weeks ago, he asked me to order him some 0 mg nic. He vapes with me a couple of times a week.

My wife has approved of my vaping since day 1. My current take on vaping is not healthy but healthier.

I have this problem myself my wife says the same thing that cigarettes are safer than inhaling "propofol" lol propylene glycol she doesn't want me vaping in the house so I said she can't smoke in the house. This has become a very big disagreement between us also my time spent on the forums talking to all of you who support vaping:D

As for the propylene glycol , follow this link http://www.tylenol.com/product_detail.jhtml?id=tylenol/children/prod_child.inc&prod=subpchild# then click on ingredients in left column.

check out ingredient #5........this is CHILDRENS TYLENOL people.....If the FDA approves this for our children , why not for adults? Antifreeze? I think not.

I also feel the government, and pharmacutical company's will not even fund the studies of vaping until the can find a greater reason to profit from it like they do with tobacco. If money wasn't a factor in all this they would have already banned the sales of tobacco, as they already spend more $$$ on tobacco studies vs. Vaping studies every year. They will make every effort to ban vaping even without making the equal effort of vaping studies.

Does anyone else out there have a spouse that does not approve of vaping. We (my spouse and I) have had many conversations and she does not feel there is enough long term research to support vaping. She feels analogs are better because we KNOW what they will do to the human body, long -term.

I have stated that I feel better, smell better, etc. but she considers all of those effects to be short-term.

I will not stop vaping because I am free of analogs so we agreed to disagree.

I am interested to know if anyone else has had the same conversation, or a similar one.

@eggoaddict ......... You should suggest to her you both should take up a daily jog :)

lol...rant done......

Not a spouse, but a family member with whom I live. She doesn't approve for the simple fact that in her mind, vaping is the same as smoking hookah. I really just don't have the energy to explain it to her though, which is odd seeing as I explain it and help people learn how to set everything up at work all day.
:]
Even though there's been very little long term research on vaping, there's enough to solidly conclude that vaping is a much healthier alternative to smoking. The only thing that I ever have a problem with is PG based juices. I'm asthmatic, so the PG aggravates my throat if I'm vaping on it all day, but I never have that problem with VG juices.

My wife was not given a choice. I informed her AFTER I ordered my kit that I had decided to vape. The same way she informs me she has a new purse AFTER she has bought it. She is not a smoker so I do not expect her to understand but she is actually supportive of what I do. As far as she is concerned I do not stink anymore when I get in bed so she is happy.

My non-smoking husband is the one to suggest the e-cig for those times when I couldn't smoke (airports, airplanes). He is very happy that I don't smoke anymore. Neither of us thought I would ever become a non-smoker. He has seen me try to quit so many times. In fact just tonight he said "good job".

I am very thankful that I have a super supportive spouse. (He has even stalked the mailman for me). :D

Moohahaha I tricked my wife into trying by getting her best friend into vaping then out of nowhere my wife says how come you don't have an ecig for me you got so and so one. My response was You made fun of me for the last two years and said it was stupid so why would I get you one, here I'll go online right now and buy you one better than so and so's okay. Now to find her a juice is a nightmare I thought I was a flavor snob but this woman is crazy doesn't like anything but hey at least she's trying.
