Which helps you quit more, using a tobacco flavor or one off the wall? After 30+ years, I really hope I can quit poisoning myself.
Fingers crossed it will help me quit.
Just don't give up! When I first started vaping my goal was to cut down on cigs and it worked. I went form a pack/pack 1/2 a day to a pack every 4 days. Then something changed when i found a couple flavors I really likes and cigs started tasting like crap. Some quit right away while other take weeks or even months. Either way is ok!

It totally works. I was a PAD+ smoker and 4 days into vaping I had my last analog, it tasted horrible, I didn't finish. Its been over 2 weeks since that day and I couldn't be happier. Sure I'm now addicted to vaping; trying juices, building mods and educating the new guys, but at least I'm no longer inhaling the smoldering remains of tobacco plants and 3000 extra chemicals like I used to. And as a bonus, I don't snore nearly as bad as I used to, makes the gf happy.

I smoked Newport. I did a board search for 'newport' and 'menthol' and read all the suggestions in the review section. I saw the juice that was most often recommended in a few threads and tried it. Still vaping it! It doesn't taste like a Newport (thank goodness because I lost the taste for cigs) but it satisfied my cig craving.

I smoked Newport years ago before I moved. Kept switching brands for a while but I did/do smoke menthol. I'm planning on sticking through on this. My lungs will appreciate it, I'm sure! With winter around the corner, the last thing I need is pneumonia (again) or my yearly case of bronchitis. (I was diagnosed with COPD 4 years ago) It's not like it was years ago when I smoked as a social thing so just dropping the habit isn't as simple as my doctor would love me to believe. I've tried it all, the patch, the gum, the inhaler and the pills. The pills were the worse, not only did it cause me to be PMS x's 400 , but it caused a bleeding ulcer to develop so I'm really looking forward to giving this a try.

I'm a complete newbie to it all but learning new information every day.

I was smoking a PAD and today makes a week since I started vaping, after I got my PV I smoked the 6 that were left of my pack for the next 3 days and haven't had another since,I feel much better and still have the craving for analogs but I think if you want to quit and are determined to do it it's definitely possible. Good luck

I'm about to give it a try myself. I've been a half pack per day smoker for the last 20 years or so....will see how it goes and post here to let anyone that's interessted know how it works out.

Decided to go with a Volt Carto setup....keep it feeling like an analog. Also thanks to this forum found out all about great juices like Juicy Clear, so hopefully I will succeed.

Best of luck to you! I'm definitely interested to hear how your doing! Let us know when your Volt arrives and how your doing with it. I'm sure you'll really like it. If you have questions, just ask.

My mom switches back and forth between her KR808's and her ego. During the last big sale I got her some Volt batteries and cartos. They're great!

It's a nice little pv that'll give you a good vape! Once you find a juice you really like you'll do great. Juice is the hard part- you just have to experiment a bit until you hit on something you like. And if you don't like a juice, put it away. Taste buds change and you might find you like it after a couple weeks. I'm a great mixer of juices. If I have one I'm not real crazy about, I add a couple drops of a different juice to it.

Hi All, i am just curious, does vaping really helps to quit smoking.
i mean, will you immediately give up cigarettes after you start vaping?

The first time I tried vaping (with a KR808, automatic battery) I did not give up smoking. When I retried vaping with an eGo manual battery I was able to put the cigarettes to rest for good...and immediately. I attribute it more to the fact that I could most closely duplicate my "cigarette" inhaling technique with the manual battery. I smoked for 45 years.

I smoked for 25 yrs. I found this forum & decided to purchase a "Bloog" ecig. I was one of the lucky ones that took to vaping right away. After the first drag from my ecig I knew that cigarettes were a thing of the past. I threw almost 2 full cartons away & kept 1pack just in case I changed my mind. Happy to report that the full pack of Camel lights is still in my closet untouched. I have been happily vaping for over 6mo now. I am no longer using the Bloog I started with. Like many others I have stepped it up a notch to the world of mods( a Darwin with a 306 atty with a 306DCA attachment). I know it all sounds foreign to you now, but if you keep reading this forum & experimenting for yourself you will soon understand.

Here in Canada, a PAD smoker gets expensive very fast. The start up cost for me was the same as 1 carton of analog but got enough juice to equal 3 cartons or my normal 2 week expense so for me it's already cost effective! My husband is a pipe smoker and looking seriously at the 605 pipe now with manual battery. At 30 bucks a pouch vs 5 bucks a bottle we're already counting the savings.

I've got 3 children who also smoke, 1 has made the switch to vapor. After the last couple of days coming over to bum a vap off mom, he's finally buying his own starter kit :) I made the suggestion that he find ECF and do his research to find out what will work best for him.

But I'm rambling... the point is, yes it saves (at least me) money!

Check out jazzcartopipe.com. Some good reviews of that E-pipe -- Grimm Green seems to love it, and it's got a great, classy pipe design and finish to it. Even comes with a little stand. :)
