Hellllo Ecf,
So I'm no stranger to sub ohm but I'm used to using exclusively mech mods. I recently purchased an ipv3 and the doge rda and I love them both. How ever nothing I build can ever be vaped above 60 watts or so. Just curious on what I can build to push the the limits of my ipv3. I know 150 watts is a little redundant and I'll probably using around 50 watts for my every day vape, but hey it's my new toy and I want to see what it can do. Is there any specific builds you guys like to use when pushing high wattage?

I've got a Doge which I sometimes use on my Sigelei 100. So not the full 150 options as the IPV but still pretty potent. Doge has fairly open airflow so you can afford to get a reasonably large coil in there or make a nice small coil for lower wattage. Basically the Doge has many options so build what you like. That being said, I always enjoyed a parallel 28 on the Doge. Fast reaction time and a pretty potent vape. Use a similar build on my Mutation X (which is my daily vape). 3 strands parallel 7 wraps dual. Large, meaty coil with extremely fast ramp up time and decent surface area.

But you might as well check out some crazy builds on youtube and have fun with it. Even if it doesn't work then you can just make a simple dual coil 24g or something in like 2 seconds and get a stellar vape.

And at high watts, I really enjoyed the fused clapton. Slow heatup but insane surface area. Ran it at 100 watts for a month or so. Good times. Can't be bothered making another for a while though. Try it!

Thanks yes I'm figuring out the more wire I use the better I'm probably going to try the triple parallel coil and possibly some twisted coils. I've never done a Clapton seems like a lot of effort lol but who know I might give it a go.

I highly recommend using a 24 ga or higher build on that. I did a 11 wrap dual coil build on my sig 100w it was like .58-.60 on the ohms. The ramp up time is troublesome at below 70 watts. A mech pushing it is useless. So it's definitely built for high wattage. I can take 4-5 second pulls at 100w. I'm not sure if it would stand up to 150... but you could always go with 22 ga to handle it. The flavor and vapor is very intense with coils of this nature and size, but it will kill batteries pretty quickly.
