Don't drop your (auto) batteries twice...

So I was getting the mail today, and as I was closing the door to the box I noticed there was a wasp right on the rim where the door seals shut. I flinched so hard I dropped my trusty VK and it landed on the pavement. To my surprise, it worked fine!

Then tonight, at a bar, using the same battery which had survived one fall earlier that day, the thing slipped out of my hands (alcohol... was a factor) and dropped on the floor for the 2nd time in the same day... well, it wasn't so lucky this time. Gal-dern-it!

Just some words of wisdom from a klutz.

bummer! luckily, i've only dropped my batts on carpet .. so far, so good.

I've dropped all my batts and attys several times and have had no such bad luck.

I've dropped mine a bunch of times...sometimes one drop even on carpeting will kill it (like last night) and sometimes I can drop one on pavement a bunch of times and it's fine..so far I've killed 3 batts dropping them and 3 others just died

Good thing I have a dozen more

i thought mine died from a fall last night ... figured i had nothing to lose and started tapping my desk with it... well watyah know... it woke up! it seems that it just got knocked out and all i had to do was slap it a few times to wake it up
