Check your coil for tightness as everyone says, and check your base to be sure it is screwed into the top tightly. Don't over tighten the unit on to the battery as it will cause leakage/flooding. If you are still getting flooding after this and you have a spare coil, go ahead and replace it. I would recommend keeping the old coil for cleaning, as I can usually reuse my evod coils 3, 4, 5, or more times before the wick degrades to far.
Also, evods aren't for everyone. Never a bad idea to pick up several different delivery devices and find the one that makes you happy. I love my evods, but I know several people that enjoy cartomizers, cartotanks, or top wicked devices like the T2, Vivi mininova, or ce4/5s.
