I started vaping in Jun 2008 and, like a lot of people, went overboard with the initial buying frenzy. I scoffed up all kinds of e-cigs and cigars, from generics to top brand stuff while that fit was on me.

In Nov 2008 I bought a Screwdriver and that was it so far as buying new kit went. I made one further dip in the pool, when the 6v mods started appearing, but I couldn't really get on with 6v (kept blowing up atomisers and didn't really think the experience was any better than 3.7).

The SD has been faultless since the first day I had it.

EDIT: I should mention that I'm thinking of buying another one in the sale because I've never tried a 510. Saw lots of chat on the forum about how great that model is - never scored one because the SD was doing the job...

There's actually a great deal going on with them now. On the site they're buy 1 get 1 free. The ScrewDriver Online Electronic Cigarette Shop

Prolly the very best deal in Vaping Land. BOGOF on the ideal e-cig - that's a real snip!

:)

C. unaffiliated fan, and happy SD 901 user. My other PVs get jealous.
2 SDs on the go every day - one for the working day and one for evenings/weekends.

I've been using a SD MKII for about a month now and I really like it. The battery life is great and it's well made. Very comfortable to hold. If you do decide to get the MKII from Totally Wicked I recommend getting a 510 adapter. I found the 901 atty left me sort of unsatisfied. Once I received the 501 adapter the experience was like night and day. I'm just not a fan of the 901.

Trog's ScrewDriver MkII 901 from TW was my first PV… have had it for 2 months now… it had been in constant use until recently, as I now also use a Gold SD MkI 510, (have the 901 > 510 adapter and last night, finally fired up my precious Black SD MkI 901. Use the 901 > 510 adapter too… depends on what liquid I want to use at the time, need, etc. Decided on the SD after some time of research online, the forums, reviews, etc… For 40+ years I was a heavy user, 2 - 2 1/2 pks Marlboro's a day… if I was going to quit smoking cigs, I knew it would not be a good idea for me to have a PV that looked like a cig, even if it was a color other than white… and I had to have something that was safe, could withstand constant use, was easy to use, trouble/hassle free, had long battery life, and was well made. Also knew I wanted something that was beautiful in its simplicity… clean.

Performance of all my SD's… excellent… I've never had a problem, never had to look for something better or the next best thing… I am satisfied, content. I keep it clean, don't abuse it, other than using it/them all day. I do fill up and top off carts quiet a bit… as I am a heavy user. A fully charged battery lasts at least 8 hrs, I change battery if vapor/hit production goes down. I love the size and the shape of both models… the feel of it in my hand… it *fits* perfectly. SD support is available… just an email or forum post away. I also took advantage of the great BOGO sale... another Black SD 901 and I am hoping for a Silver :)

    Somewhere between here and there
The screwdriver has been a great unit for me. I have had no troubles with it and it is virtually maintenance free. It is like a pv should be. It always works. That is except when you drop it hard ,button first on concrete. When I first got it, I broke the switch but Trog responded quickly when I contacted him and I got the switch replaced and haven''t had a problem since. It is the best 3.7v pv I have ever tried.

Scott the ScrewDriver does actually come in a 510 model .

Still using my SD 901 since 8th Nov 2008 a lot of us are happy with our SD 901 and still vaping away just not posting very often :D

I'll second that. I've been on the Screwdriver since October '08 and never had an issue. In fact I've just ordered another from Trog. They're also sold through the Totally Wicked website. It's been improved since I bought my original... sturdier build with a better switch.

Why don't you hear more about 'em? Because once you've got one you're happy and happy people don't tend to complain, maybe? Once I found the SD, my research into vaping devices stopped cold. I'd got what I needed, and bought nothing but juice and atomizers (and a couple replacement batteries) ever since.

battery size is depending on what model of SD, mk1: 16340 ( or cr123a, but to me it lasts less than spyderfire 16340) the mk2 SD battery is bigger: 900 mha, with circut protection.
soon will have to get a mkll, and send the oem`s mk1 for retrofit of new switch, just wish that both SD would use same battery and charger. as it is i use a old video camera case for everthing, and a modifed dremel case for everything in less amounts...hehehe

It doesn't say but I assume the Screwdriver's they're selling at 2-for-1 are MkII.

How do you buy batteries if they don't have a name?

No the ones for sale at that link are the MK I fitted with an updated switch which is the same switch as the MK IIs. The link I posted before is for batteries that work in the MK I. The MK I is sold by the creator trog (currently 2 for 1) and the MK II is sold by TotallyWicked and TECC

    hope this helps :)

I caved in too. Been looking at other mods and got a silver Bullet and a Tornado battery, both great vapes and convenient. But I always go back to my SD for my regular daily use.

I almost got an MK2 from TW back in November, then almost bit when Trog came out with the newer Gold and 510 SD models. Tempted yet again when TW started selling the body MK2 only for $49.99 and it sat in my shopping cart for the longest time.

That was up until 2 weeks ago. Then Trog came out with the 2 for 1 and I bit... a gold and black mini... I already have a 510 adaptor and the 901 atty's have always been cheaper and better for me for re-supply, longevity and TH. Now instead of one SD back up I've got two.

I think I'm done shopping now for a while. Just going to enjoy the splurge and hope my wife doesn't think I broke the bank. She'll see those 2 screwdrivers come in and remember that I bought the first one a year ago from Trog for $160.00 before they sold in the US.

"No, seriously honey... they were 2 for 1 for $40..." Yeah, right...

    Heavy sigh...8-o

2 for $72.93 including shipping. $36.47 each is a good deal. I just ordered a Little Chuck but I like the idea of having these as a backup/alternative.

    Thanks for the battery info.

ETA: The Little Chuck uses 16340s or 18350s. So, of course, I just bought 18350s.

your welcome glad to help :)

if you vape at 3.7v don't be surprised if your Chuck becomes the backup after you receive your screwdrivers ;)
