And leaving it in the charger while you're sleeping?????? Risky! What if it overcharges, does a "runaway," and blows up while you're asleep? I used to charge mine at night too, but a lot of very smart people here explained to me that that's a really bad idea, unless you just really want to burn down your house.

Did that once with an eGo. It blew up in the kitchen at 1:30 am. I thought I got shot, not to mention the flames and the mess!! Never again!!!

You've showered, you get in bed, you have a drink, you have your PV, you have your laptop, the dog is curled up close to you and you're all comfy and the damn light starts flashing that your battery is going out? It's happened one too many times for me so I guess I'm going to have to tart taking batteries to bed with me. Ever have this, or anything close, happen to you???

I'm a bug about making sure everything is charged and ready to go, before I get into bed. Once my dog settles down, using me as her pillow, moving her is a pita LOL!

I left mine on the charger all night last night on my bed and it never blew up! I never knew that it could blow up from being on the charger overnight, scary thoughts. I just don't understand why it would blow up... a lithium battery in a cellphone can be charged overnight without being blown up so why can't an e-cig be the same way? Sounds like an old wives tale to me.

I think with regulated chargers that check voltage, as well as regulated mods that have internal charging circuitry you are pretty okay. Some of the cheap chinese chargers that just apply voltage till you disconnect, or possibly on the uber-simple egos where it is effectively the same thing, you can see that issue. I leave my MVP and dna on USB chargers are night all the time, but even with an efest LUC charger I don't do that with 18650s.

Apparently there's some malfunction that a battery can do, "runaway" or something like that. Basically the charge just keeps growing and growing until BOOM! something has to give. Sorta like that "mayhem" commercial where he says your hot water heater can become a flying object... ;)

It may not happen too often, especially if you're careful to buy top-quality batteries... but just knowing there's any risk of BOOM! anywhere in the mix, makes me not want to gamble on it. I survived an "almost fire" (wire arcing against a 2x4 in a mobile home frame, thank god it wasn't arcing against the thin paneling or it would have quickly blazed past "almost"), and that was quite enough "mayhem" for me!!!

Actually it's not better to discharge more; batteries last longest when they don't discharge too much.

I trust my charger to work properly, just as I trust the electronics in my car to work properly. A computer malfunction in a car can set it on fire just as quickly as anything else that has a control circuit in it which can fail.... do you unhook the battery from your car each time you park it??? ;)

Maybe I am all fancy a$$ed but I have a dedicated evening vape for bedtime TV watching. It runs a low nic level with a thick dessert flave. Because its only night time it lasts for weeks. I do the same with my driving vape. It is dedicated to the road so I pretty much know when to recharge by keeping a semi brain sort of tally on it.

My bedside vape is a ProVari with a cheap GBC clearomizer on it. I keep an extra battery in the bedroom and a needle top bottle of juice just in case. When I leave the house I always have a backup with me and in case of real emergencies I have a pass through in the car I can use via the Jeep's built power inverter. I am looking forward to trying the Innoken DRV car when they are available.
