Hello all,

I read far more than I post, but my progress over the last 8 months I consider phenomenal. I was 1-1.5 PAD analog smoker for over 20yrs. I started with 24mg juice and now I vape nothing but 6mg tasty vapors peach cobbler, mainly because I have a taste for really sweet juices.

I've experienced so many health benefits I can't even list them all and my latest Dr. visit confirms it. Lower blood pressure, better body composition because I can push myself much harder during exercise, no more random coughing, I could go on and on.

My question is, do most strive to quite vaping completely? I would imagine I could get a 3mg juice from smewhere, but I would think with dilution, the nicotine content would be almost like no nicotine at all. I use a ZMax 2 and ViviNova tanks and these days I enjoy the tech just as much as the act of vaping, I could easily continue but not sure if I should.

If I quit 6mg cold turkey am I gonna lose my mind? Do most ppl strive to stop shoving long circular objects in their mouths for hrs upon hrs each day or do they just chug along at the lowest nicotine content available? :p

If I could get down to 6mg I would probably try to go to 0 and see what happens. For me vapeing was a way to reduce cig use and stop regular cigs all together. I was a pack to pack and a half a day guy myself and am down to one or two packs a week and just to much of a chicken to take the plunge to no cigs yet, but coming soon. If you feel that it is time to stop, GO FOR IT! I like to tinker and collect, and it seems that vapeing is healthier than the alternative (both studies and my own personal experience) so vaping will probably be a lifestyle for me for a while, but having to not use any kind of addictive substance is obviously the best choice.

I'm thinking I just need to go for it, something I would have never dreamed of doing when I was vaping 24mg. The hardest part was going from 24mg to 12mg, I fell back to 24mg more times than I can count but eventually I got through that. Going from 12mg to 6mg was no trouble at all, I vaped a little more than usual the first week or so and then I was back to normal.

I'm gonna give it a shot cold turkey after I kill my current batch of juice, I might look at 0mg juices if I can find something tasty as I really do enjoy the act of vaping but then again since I'm a business traveler, I won't miss every other TSA agent asking me what's that in your carry on..lol

I was forced to quit smoking by my doctor.. Vaping has saved my life and I discovered how much I enjoy it as a hobby too so I have no plans of quitting vaping but I started at 18mg am now at 12 hoping to get to 6mg within 6 months then we'll see :)

Good luck with your give it all up plan. Some people have done well with that plan while others found then needed to come back to vaping and spend some more time working themselves down to zero before giving it all up. Then there are those of us that choose to continue vaping even when we are no longer addicted to the nic. That's whats so great about vaping, we have choices we've never had before :)

Tasty Vapor sells their o mg juice in 2 oz doubles so very easy for you to use that with your 6 mg peach cobbler to mix any mg below 6 mg that you wish or just use the o mg version of the juice you like :)

I'm currently using 0mg, but keep some 6mg ready. While it hasn't be too difficult so far, it's definitely a bigger adjustment than going from 18mg to 12mg to 6mg. Those were painless adjustments to make. Right now I keep three 0mg juices ready and one 6mg for when I'm craving nicotine.

Thanks for the info, I couldn't find 0mg juices there before. Guess I didn't look hard enough. :)

Sounds like a good plan. I'm not expecting that going cold turkey will be painless, but I feel like the struggle giving up the analogs and sticking with vaping has made me a stronger person overall and I'm hoping I can now handle the final withdrawal.

From the beginning, I have fluctuated between 0 mg and 6 mg. 12 mg gave me a headache because at times I like to chain vape. If I need energy for a long day, I may switch to 6 mg. I don't feel like there is that big of difference between the two. If you're at 6 mg, I think you won't have a problem going to 0 mg. Perhaps you can just vape 0 mg juices for now and see if you're still addicted to the nicotine or are you like me, where it isn't the nicotine, but the ritual that relaxes you.

Another idea is mix 50/50 of 6 mg and 0 mg to get your 3 mg concentration. Just a thought :)

I am not planning to stop, it calms me so I don't kill anyone :p

I'd definitely say try and quit vaping if you can, especially if it's something that enters your mind.

Good thing about vaping is that if you fall of the wagon, the consequences aren't as dire as the analogs.

Just need to break the oral habit and the cues. If you've got those down, maybe a patch can help for the true nic desire.

Why would you quit. Nothing wrong with Nicotine -in fact quite the reverse. Studies are showing it's benefits in people suffering from Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinsons etc. It is also coming to light that Nicotine in fact dilates blood vessels not constricts.

Nicotine's bad rap comes from its association with smoking -it is in fact very similar to caffeine in terms of affect on health -negligible but with certain upsides.

Just emphasising the stigma here - each to his own -we have Alzheimer's in the family and no way am I giving up nicotine-but I am down to 6 mg now.
