Well, the black patina Nuppin' AFC I bought was short lived being black...My own fault I guess. When I scotchbrite my stripped grand, I normally just use a piece of painters tape to cover the atty so it doesn't accidentally get scratched, damaged, or dirty. So today I taped my Nuppin' carefully and then proceeded to brush out the finish on the grand, got it looking quite spiffy, then removed the tape!!! About 1/3 of the patina came off with the tape when I peeled it back.
Never saw that coming. So now I am vaping a brushed copper AFC on the Nuppin'... Live and learn I guess. Just thought I'd pass the info on so that it may help someone else out. I will say that once I started taking the rest of the black patina off, it all came off without any problem at all. It pretty much just peeled or flaked off the rest of the way. Very fragile I would say... So be careful if you have a Patina'd AFC, door, or mod. It don't take much...

Painters tape? I'm quite surprised by that... Send it back & I can take it back 2 black for ya, no charge. I think that was a fluke. My experience with them has been more like Xobeloots
