Getting a bottom feed version of cyclone for Christmas.

Should I drill a lower hole in the post so it drains better?

If I drill the lower hole do I need to block the original feed hole?

Should I drill all the way through so it feeds both sides?

My guess is, Yes drill it all the way through and don't block upper hole. what do you think?

My post from another thread:

If you order the Cyclone in BF mode it will come like this:

Juice hole is too high for proper drainage. Best to drill it yourself if possible. I prefer it lower like this:

Also, you can't find the Cyclone with AFC in BF. You'd have to buy the cap separately. That's $65 for the BF Cyclone plus $45 for the AFC cap. Only problem with that is, Indy has been out of stock on the AFC cap for a while now and they told me it would be at least a month before they get 'em back in stock. As m3nace3 said, you'd likely have to order it from another country and pay a bunch for shipping. My :2c:

There's not much room for a second hole below the stock one. You could take a dremmel and a dental bur and elongate the stock hole. I drilled all the way through on mine to feed dual coils.

I got to thinkin'... If you adjusted the post to ride lower to where the hole was lower the only problem I think you'd have is the bottom of the post would be sticking out the bottom too far, right???
Suppose you milled (filed or sanded) the bottom of the post the same amount that you lowered it? I think there's plenty of meat there to do it:

Yes, I am requesting that the hole go all the way thru the post.

The good news is that the feed hole in the 2 I got are high enough that a skilled modder could drill a 1/16" hole right at deck level and the old feed hole can be the new wire hole cause I found some long screws that also fit an RM2 :)
