drip tip dimensions?

Time to bust out my fancy calipers..

I currently have a RSST and Smoktech pyrex vivi nova. The opening diameter of each is 8.65mm

The drip tips that came with each are 30.17mm and 31.47mm from end to end(including the "shaft" that sinks inside the atomizer). I purchased some shorter drip tips from madpvapes that are 24.92 and 24.85 long.

The depth of the shaft that holds the o-ring ranges 5.00 to 5.25mm. The o-rings are roughly centered along the length of that shaft. The diameter of this shafts range 8.47-8.53mm.

The diameter of the air hole through them range from 4.2-4.7mm

Feel free to send me one of your prototypes for the effort :p

any ideas/preferences for design, just trying to feel out what other people like, i personally like short and fat ones(i tried to think of another way to word that without opening myself up for jokes but couldn't). also, as far as genesis air hole size goes has anyone tried substituting drilling the air hole with different inside diameter drip tips? just a thought

Most every tank guy will use a 9mm strict tip to insert the carto into the tank, I like all kinds short, fat, long skinny but the one I like the most matches the diameter of my titan dripper. Wide base flare (19mm) to a medium neck with a standard vase tip (non-rounded). The problem with the air hole is it needs to be inline with the side of the coil so that is out for adding one to a tip IMHO.
If you made some diameter specific to the atty like the AGA-T, RSST etc you might find a niche in the market.

The main thing when it comes to design is just make sure it's machined with close enough tolerances that it doesn't wiggle.
Wiggly drip tips are an annoyance and make an otherwise solid atomizer feel flimsy.

Personally, I prefer a bit longer drip tips, because the chances of getting hot juice spit into your mouth by the coil is greatly reduced. Plus it feels weird to have your atomizer so close to your face, at least to me, with a shortie tip.

You'll find that drip tips are as much about personal preference as juice flavors, so your best bet is to simply offer a variety of sizes in each style, if you have that capability (such as shortie, standard, and long tip).

Good luck, designing machined parts is a lot of fun.
