So my itty bitty drivers were delivered today. Yes, it's Sunday. Go figure.

Anyway, I had somehow imagined that once the two screws on the ends of the top were removed, the guts would pull out of the shell as an assembly. Wrong. Only the top "cap" comes off:

Looking down inside, the guts are glued in there:

So there are two circuit boards in there, one for the switch/LED assembly, and one that actually controls power. The flank the feed-tube assembly, which is a slip fit. I wonder just how long that's going to remain free of leaks?

I'm not inclined to tear the rest of the guts out just yet...

Just finished the bottle I filled on Friday (multiple mods/flavors going at all times) & I even decided to try the stock atty for the last few mls. The stock atty is pretty good actually, I was able to get the air perfect & flavor was pretty decent actually. I am so impressed that they are going to offer that "coil" for the same price as OCC heads, kudos to Kangertech for that one! I ran the same Sammy 25r battery since Friday, when I pulled it it read 3.63v. I can live with a single 18650 lasting an entire bottle of e-liquid. For me at this point as long as the Dripbox doesn't crap out in a few days or weeks I am giving it a solid two thumbs up

Got home from out of state and had a few minutes to play. As Rossum said 2 boards down in there.
p0erqtJ.jpg

One is just a simple daughter board with a switch, leds, and led current limiting resistors on the back side and the other has a processor, usb charging IC, 2 large Mosfets, 2 driver Mosfets, 1 unidentified IC (possibly battery management), and of course non active components.

One large Mosfet appears to be for reverse battery protection from the battery positive and the other for output to the 510 positive so I assume both are Pfet. They are marked BA54 which I found is made by Shenzhen Winsome Electronic Technology Co., Ltd but no further information or data sheet.

Will have to play further later, but when I made sure it worked before I voided the warranty (lol) mine took 3 clicks on and off. Anyone else have 3 click instead of 5?

I've been thinking the same thing this morning. Wonder how hard it would be to put one of the soft Italian squonk bottles in there?
I could see it being a PITA removing and replacing. You don't really have access to the top half of the bottle. I'd be curious if possibly the bottle openings are the correct diameter and tall enough to fit on the stock cork and feed tube. Check when I get home...

Gotta hold the metal cap pinched tight between two fingers to properly seat even a broke in bottle.

Don't see a place on this mod suitable or available for that.

They're gonna try it cap-less. If the "cork" happens to plug the top of a squishy bottle, it might work...
I don't have one of these (yet) so I can't check...

I don't see how that's gonna work on this 405 degree (just enough over a full turn to overlap) coarse thread...

But I'll keep an open mind.

View attachment 544265 My little Storm Trooper has arrived! I was really concerned watching some of the YouTube videos showing how much pressure was required to squonk using the stock atty, but mine requires very little pressure on the bottle to get the juice into the atty. Maybe they changed something from the beta samples. Can't wait to use one of my own bf atties on it. The stock atty is actually quite nice though. Great investment for the money in my opinion.

From the picture it looks little. :) That will suit me.

I tried that a while back. The opening on the fancy Italian bottle is a bit too small to fit the "cork" properly. It starts on the cork, but the connection isn't solid and I didn't trust it enough to actually try filling the bottle with juice and squonk it.

I have not heard anyone complain about how HOT this vape is! This seems like a nice mod except for the dam mouth piece. My banana creme pie taste like it just came out of the oven. I hope Kanger releases some kind of a fix for this issue or this thing is worthless for me. DAM!!! I know I must cut my nic level down to about 6 but that won"t cool the vape down will it? The flavor comes through great but its toO dam HOT. Come on Kanger. I watched 6 vids and folks was sucking the head off this thing & no one mentioned the hot vape. I will send this thing back if I can't cool this vape down. YUK! Also, give you a spare bottle with no cap for it

Maybe try some builds that are a little less aggressive than 0.2 ohms?

Now I did have to push the "cork"into the bottle but, nothing crazy. Tight seal I believe.

Have you tried adjusting the coils? Are the air slots aligned with the coils? Are they open?
