@KYBLUE, it's really hard to explain isn't it? It's like a love/hate thing! We love it for all the things they got right, but hate it for the things the got so WRONG!
I agree with the dark bottles, I'm finding myself having to hold it up to a light and trying to see how much juice I have left! It's a PITA!
I see some electrical tape coming out soon for my juice door, mine's black so it'll match.
But I'm with you so far, if it were lost or broken, I don't think I'd think twice about buying another!
I think I'm going to do another build on mine tonight and try to get the coils up and out toward the air holes. Maybe I can do more than the half second hits that I'm stuck with doing now.

The 36mg for today's gear is crazy high IMHO. Not criticizing at all.

I'll 2nd that derringer. Simple 28g duel .5 so it heats up faster. I only run unflavored in it so not worried so much about flavor.
Great for the workshop in case I drop it. ( And I will )

Yeah, but as I've eluded to before, I've got some "issues" to say the least! I broke my back a few years ago, so I have constant chronic pain! I'm loaded up! Tried Tramadol, then Oxycontin and now I'm loaded on enough Fentanyl to make most junkies jealous! With weather changes, like we've had in KS this spring, 80 one day, 30 and 3" of snow the next, and fronts rolling in and out, it's not uncommon for me to be up 2-3 days straight from pain. During those periods, 3-4 PAD is easy, more isn't uncommon. When I say I'm a nic fiend, I'm not kidding! I've got some NET juice on the way as normal e-juice doesn't give me the "instant gratification" I'm needing while in pain. It's an odd existence.

I rebuilt it again, came out at 1 ohm, I attribute this to the longer legs? It's better, I can hit the thing and get some vapor out of it without choking on it, and flavor is improved. I've got the coils just a hair higher than the terminals, but it's working better.

I personally have been very, very disappointed with my dripbox. I bought it and thought that it'd be a good intro to squonking (as a builder and dripper myself, it seemed really nice to be hands free without carrying around a bottle).

I've had nothing but issues with it. Perhaps I got a dud, but between myself and three other vape friends (one of which who owns a shop), we can't get a reliable vape from it. Between leaking, misfiring, not firing at all, reading as low resistance off of a .4ohm build when it fires on every other mod I have ... it's been nothing but a discounted headache.

Very sorry to hear this! Where/how is it leaking? Maybe someone here can offer some advice on that?
Perhaps all the leaking got juice on the board causing the other issues? Have you tried giving it an alcohol bath to try and get the juice off the boards? Just throwing out suggestions.

Yea. The leaking was temporary. The stopper valve that goes into the plastic bottle part wasn't sealing correctly. We learned that was due to a manufacturer defect on the lip of the bottle. Thus, juice. Then once I replaced it with the other bottle in the kit, the pipe would "surge" the eliquid to the build deck so quickly it'd squeeze in between the gap I had on my 510 causing linking there. Fixed it with adjusting and tweaking all of that, but for a $28 device, it's not worth the hasstle that I could've avoided for just paying a few bucks more for one of my drip setups.

And I think something shorted out the connection with the leaking as it would flash me the 14+ green lights when atty was on despite reading at a .4ohm. But when the atty was off, it'd fire. *shrugs*

I mean, the IDEA is great. I love the idea. But I just personally haven't had that great of an experience to not say "Skip the headache, and just get a real dripper".

The shop I bought it from offered to pay for shipping to get it returned and replaced. I just haven't had the time to print the shipping label and get it out in the mail.

I hope you get it returned and the next one is better! Like I say, I'm really liking mine, and for the money, it's pretty hard to beat it, compared to a lot of others on the market.

Oh yes! I agree. For the price, I hope it's just me getting a dud. I've heard great reviews online about it. Wish my experience was the same. As a pro, I do enjoy the look of it. I'm a sucker for a black-and-white mod. #StormTrooperLife

Well, I was feeling frogy and was thinking about ordering a Chalice tonight, no love! Discontinued at Fasttech and sold out at Bestgear. Only other places I'm not at all familiar with so I'm a bit iffy with them.
Oh, well, we'll see how the Velocity mini works and go from there.

Received the Derringer V3 from FT today. Installed a 2.5mm BF pin from Fat Daddy Vapes. Instant dry/burnt hit with a .23Ω dual 26g SS build. Replaced with a .5Ω dual 26g Kanthal build to achieve a very nice flavorful and cloudy vape. Will likely drop a wrap on the next build to warm it back up a notch.

Have a Stumpy ordered, which I plan to convert.

Would definitely replace the mod if it were lost tomorrow.

ENJOY
Was it just "plug 'n play" or did you have to file the pin much?

I used a Dremel cutoff wheel to remove maybe two millimeter from the threaded portion to match the original pin.

I then used a stone on the Dremel to grind down the bottom of the pin after installing it on the atty. May not have been absolutely necessary but it protruded quite a bit.

A relatively simple modification. Could have been achieved with a hacksaw and file. Much easier than trying to drill out the center of a solid pin by hand.

I saw them, but hadn't heard of them, are they reputable enough to order from? That and I've no clue where they are out of?
I ordered something from them ages ago without issue but, am I losing my mind? Now says sold out at 3fvape. Did I not notice that before?

focalecig has them. Chinese company but, if order with PayPal you should be pretty protected within the allotted timeframe.
