Right now, I have a 1.2 ohm sigle coil setup on my IGO-W attached to my K100. I redrilled one hole to 1/16 and covered the second hole with JB Weld. I love the hits, gives me a good amount of vapor, and i like it. What's the deal with everyone doing a dual coil to quad coil setup running under 1 ohm? Doesn't it burn too hot? Kill your batteries faster? eat up ejuice like crazy? not sure what the big deal is with it. Maybe someone can open my eyes a little more..... Throw some knowledge this way please.

Yes to all of the above, it burns hotter, uses more battery and fluid since you are vaporizing more juice. I havent done a quad build but have done dual coils. In my opinion, you would need a larger air hole, or drill a second, for the air to keep up with the heat and vapor produced. I bought a couple of cheap stainless attys from fasttech to drill on and test that theory. In my experience with them, if you wrap to low with not enough air you just get a hot vape and hot atty. If you open up the air to much you get an airy vape and loose taste. I kinda settled in the 1-1.5 ohm area with a 3/32 size single air hole with a single coil as my daily vape setup. I play with the sub ohm stuff when I'm in the mood but day to day it uses too much juice, too much battery and vapes up the workplace too much lol. Also, if you start dipping below 1 ohm make sure you know your batteries so you know what you are using can handle the discharge rate needed. It can get dangerous there if you don't. Ohm's Law Calculator . Just one guys opinion.

Short answer...yes. It will draw more power from your battery and vaporize juice faster. That's how you get the ridiculous clouds. Can be dangerous though if you don't have the right battery and you take the resistance too low. How it works is by having 2 coils in parallel, you 1/s the resistance. 2 times the metal = half the resistance.
