Jons,
I am new to dripping with a manual battery. I was dripping with an auto battery and it was easier at first because I was only doing a drop or two at a time. When I got my Riva 510 on Thurday, it came with manual batteries. I put about 5 drops in it and couldn't get anything but juice in my mouth (the juice tasted pretty good, by the way). It wasn't until after I played with it for a while, that it started to work. I drained all of the juice I could out of the atty. Then I used only 2 drops. I held the manual button for about 5 seconds. Then I let it sit for about 15 seconds. I never put my mouth to it during any of this. I then pressed the button for about 2 seconds, applied my mouth and gently puffed for about 10 seconds. I didn't get much vapor at this time but, I did get some. After that, each puff produced more vapor at only about 5 seconds of draw. I got about 5 good puffs and it started tasting a little burnt. I added another 2 drops at this time and puffed my puffs until it tasted burnt.
Once you get it down, it becomes easy. Getting the process started the first time is the difficult part. Just remember that you don't want to add more unless you first got vapor.
