OK I'm glad this thread was posted because I apparently bought the wrong thing. I have a million juices and no way to sample them. What Ohm would one buy for a Mini? Despite the information, this is still pretty much a nightmare for me. I also learned tanks leak all over the place when not on the Provari WTH.
Isn't 2.0 ohm about right? Yet I can't seem to find any place that has those. I really need to find a way to try these juices so I can latch onto a few. I'm still smoking despite having all this gear. Dumb.
Meagain, not that long ago, I was a newbie too, and I felt completely lost... even with the gear I had. So let me make a few quick suggestions here. I wrecked a whole lot of equipment in the beginning, because I had NO clue what I was doing. I hope I'm not presuming, but I wish someone had told me these things too at the time, it would have saved me a lot of $$, so maybe it will help you too.
I'd start with a carto tank for juice testing, because while it's a pain in the .... to fill, you will help break the seals in by working them more. While I have 4 bridgeless atomizers, to this day, I haven't figured out how to use them properly. Also, the juice tastes different in them. I have a bunch of RBA RDA now too, but I STILL don't use them to test juice, because they are so FOCUSED that they aren't a true rendition of what goes in the tank... so I just use a tank, because I'm going to vape in that tank, testing in something else with a different flavor isn't going to give me an idea if I LIKE it.
I think the most important thing is... only test things you love the smell of. If you don't like the smell right now, you aren't going to like the taste, because it's mostly the smell you are tasting, if that makes sense. Set it aside, let it steep. You may like it later. But if you force yourself to vape something that smells gross to you, all you'll remember is how gross it is
.
Prime the carto, then fill the tank itself just above the holes. So you don't screw up your carto, put your finger over the bottom of the carto, while it's wearing its tank, and suck a few times dry (do not hit firing button), this will also clear up any flooding you might have had. This also pulls some juice into the carto from the tank. Then, let the carto sit for about 15 minutes. You can actually start priming your next carto, assuming you have a 2nd tank. Despite priming, sitting a while will let it fully saturate. I've vaped tanks that sat for 2 weeks untouched, and they are just perfect every time.
Vape at least 1/4 of a tank before you decide if you like a juice or not... sometimes things grow on you. Sometimes things you like in the first few hits gets really cloying after you vape more of it. I don't think you can honestly assess a juice til you've vaped at least 1/4 tank.
It really is the easiest way to test, and I hope this helps
. I'm really giving you my 2 cents, because if you get frustrated with vaping in the beginning, it's so easy to just give up and smoke again... because your juice isn't ready, you can't find one you like, the setting up is taking too long, you are missing this item or that item you MUST buy.
If you have 2 tanks you can swap back and forth, and 2 batteries you can keep going, it's much easier to quit. It's very hard to not smoke when you are dying for nicotine and you cannot vape for whatever reason, so I'd keep the carto tanks primed at all times, and try a new, and exciting, juice each 1/4 tank until you've picked out your favorites. Good luck!!!
