Dry Sinuses?

Hey All:

I've been vaping for five months now and although it's been a life saver, my sinuses have been hating me.

They have been dry, irritated, and sore pretty much since I started.

I thought at first that maybe I was sensitive to PG, but didn't have any other of the "normal" PG allergy symptoms to go along with it.
I think that I'm sensitive to the effects of both PG and VG as humectants.

My sinuses hurt enough - especially first waking up - that I thought that I was going to have to quit vaping.

Enter my Savior: NeilMed NasoGel spray. One shot up each nostril before bed and again when I wake up and all my sinus irritation is gone. In fact, I don't think I've ever slept better (I've always had mild sinus problems).

Just passing this on for anyone else who might be in this situation.

All MBV juice - 18% 50/50 +2 flavor shots

Wow, exactly the same story here. My sinuses hate PG, so I switched to VG only, and the irritation calmed down but does come back sometimes. I too use the NeilMed stuff and it is pretty good.

Never really paid attention, but I guess I do quite often.
I noticed that I also "roll" my vape with my tongue which I think would push it into up my sinuses from the back of my throat.

It does look cool as hell! lol Anyways, the PG is prob the culprit. Irritant and all that. If it gets to the point of making you go back to analogs, maybe compromise abit and exhale through your talky hole.

I do plan on trying some all VG juice the next time I order to see if my problem is PG sensitivity.

If you go full vg get some distilled water and mix about 5% water. Really makes the difference with not clogging coils and wicks

I had problem sinuses for years...until I started vaping and unexpectedly they are normal for the first time in ages.....so vaping does effect sinus, in my case they probably needed to be dried up or cigarette smoke was irritating them....hidden bonus I guess

Am vaping 50:50 only as I found 70:30 PG:VG to have a drying effect on my skin.

yeah....when I was still smoking I woke up with dry sinuses and down the back of my throat so bad it hurt....now I only noticed this happening again since it got colder and had to turn heat on a couple nights.....I'm thinking of getting a humidifier....maybe I'll try out that nasogel stuff NHXJer mentioned

I've actually had sinus issues for years, and it gets worse in the winter, I have to sleep with a humidifier in the bedroom.

Strangely enough, though, I think my sinuses are a little better than they were while I was smoking.

Also have dry sinuses. ENT recommended Secaris - Pendopharm Works very well and tube lasts a long time.

Me too sinus got better. I do exhale vapor through my nose. I think I got used to NOT exhaling though my nose while smoking because it hurt, it was just normal. Now I enjoy the extra sensation of taste in my nose.
