did you try the cleaning feature?

remove the jewelcap, mouthpiece and cart.....touch the 2 brass contacts and look down the atomizer chamber..make sure that atomizer glows a bright orange.

watch the video again if you are not sure about the brass contacts

mine is still working great after more than 4 weeks of use...clouds of vapor

Thanks for the advice and the demo on the video. It was very helpful.
I cleaned the atty and it did help quite a bit. Still not quite as much vapor as at first. How often should I clean it and will it shorten it's life? The atty's are so expensive that I want it to last as long as possible. Is there any routine care that would help?

The cleaning feature of the DSE601 should be used sparingly.

My first e-pipe atomizer never blew the clouds of vapor that I was seeing on asidrave's videos. I drained, dripped, blew, changed batteries, etc., but it was never a fog blower. Turned out that my atomizer was weak and the replacement I had ordered was outstanding. So, do not rule out a weak atomizer.

What e-liquids are you using in the pipe? I noticed that you do mix some flavors yourself. Some juice will create very good vapor while other juices, not so much. Does dripping give you any better vapor production? You could also try a couple of drops of striaght glycerine on the atomizer. If you cannot get a fog out of that, then you might want to setup a warranty exchange on the atomizer.

I tried the clean cart with Johnson Creek tobacco. No go. I tried the pure glycerin on the atomizer didn't do the trick either. I contacted LiteCig to try to get a atomizer replacement. I hope it doesn't turn into a big hassle.

I think your best to troubleshoot the problem. The replacement atomizer will likely take some time to get back to you. I personally would recommend that you order a spare (or another complete kit) from ruyandirect.com. At least that shipment would get to you in less than 14 days. When the new atomizer arrives, watch asidrave's videos and puf on the pipe while looking in a mirror. You will know immediately when everything is working well.

Glad to hear that shawn is taking care of you. I have not yet had the pleasure of placing an order with him.

By the way, I read a post somewhere that some German vapers use the steam nozzle on an espresso machine to clean atomizers.

I contacted Shawn at LiteCigUSA. He said he would replace the atomizer as soon as he receives the one I have now. I plan to ship tomorrow.

I have used steam with my atomizers for my DSE801. The gunk does drip out but I don't know if that gets it all. Never noticed a difference in the atomizers after steaming them.

My wife has one of those steam amchines for cleaning the bath and kitchen. I took it and held my 901 atty with pliers and steamed the heck out of it. Works like new now. just don't leave it there too long .... about six seconds. it really blast the gunk out don't know on any long term damage to the atty cause of the high pressure.

I got mine yesterday from Wyzardd's Gifts and so far not getting much out of it. I charged the battery for a full 12 hours, have the High cart on, and have been puffing away for the last 4 hours. I'm not getting much vapor and little to no throat hit at all. I've had to top off the cart already with some Hilton 24 2 times now. The primer taste is by far the worst out of any e-device I have had so far. I've noticed the battery already starting to fade away as well.

Right now I am honestly getting more vapor out of a 901, and my m201 is kicking this thing's .......

HOWEVER... I'm going to keep at it. I have another battery charging at home, I have some 36 juice I can cut with VG, and I can try the reset feature in a day or 2 if this doesn't pick up.

I want vapor like what asidrave gets and right now that's not happening. As I said the throat hit is virtualy nonexistant. If I were new to vaping, I'd be very dissapointed, but being somewhat of a veteran I'm not going to count this out just yet. As a matter of fact, I'm ordering another one from litecigusa today.

I just hope this thing gets better.

Fugurehead...im knocking on wood right now....i must have gotten very lucky that ive never had an issue with my 601 and its been almost 6 weeks since ive gotten my 601...it is still a fog machine with great throat hit.

a few here have gotten weak 601's......i wonder if there is or was a manufacturing issue with them.

maybe try the atomizer cleaning feature

Yeah, I'm going to try it in a day or 2. I'm still trying to get the "..." flavor out of it right now. My battery anly lasted about 4 1/2 hours on it's 1st 12 hour charge, but then again I was puffing it like crazy to get the taste out and to try to get any vapor out. On a scale of 1 to 10, it's a 1 on vapor right now.

It's still not going to prevent me from ordering another one from litecigusa tho.

Figurehead, the atomizer is weak. My first atomizer was pretty weak and I gave up after two days trying to get the fog that asidrave was getting in his videos. I received a spare a week later and, boy, what an amazing difference. My original atomizer is probably in China awaiting warranty replacement. Return the atomizer before you turn blue trying to make it work.

Oh, throat hit, there is none. Remember, this is an automatic device running at 3.7 volts. This is more about relaxed puffing with outstanding volumes of vapor, particularly on the exhale. I am just finishing up some Ruyan flue-cured cut in half with straight glycerine and a few drops of water. If anyone gets a throat hit from this pipe, you must have been smoking ultra light analogs.

Agreed on the throat hit. Every once in a while I'll manage a really long draw and I'll get a little bit of one, but for the most part it's definitely about relaxing, puffing and having a lot of vapor.

I also agree on swapping your pipe for another one. I have three and they all produced copious amounts of vapor immediately, without a "break-in" period.

Also keep in mind that if you aren't using VG/Glycerin, the vapor isn't going to be as thick as what Raul was able to produce. I believe he cuts with 50% VG. When I use my 601, I have special VG enhanced liquids I use (not to 50%). I typically don't care for too much VG, but with the pipe I find it adds to the experience.
