Yeah, the puffing would be fine, as that is the primary reason I got one... to vape it like smoking a pipe. I plan on enjoying the juices I've got comming from Walrus with this. Throat hit isn't TOO necessary, but it would be nice to have a little hit when inhaled.

OK, if the 2nd battery doesn't get this thing cooking I'll send it back. :(

Not sure if you guys have seen this

601 Pipe

Midwest has the 601 atomizers for $40. Not sure what their warranty is, but that's not a bad price. I think his whole kits are $72.50

This guy knows stuff!!

$40 for an atomizer is the cheapest price I have seen anywhere on the retail level. I, too, am interested in the warranty.

* You must ship items back to us before refund or replacement parts are issued.
* You must ship your items with a carrier that offers a way you track your package.

* Replacement parts carry no warranty.
* You will be responsiable for the cost to ship items back to us.

In line with Litecig I suppose. However, if I were to order another Atomizer only, I'd probably go through Wayne at HG and have the one year warranty.

The only US supplier I've seen match the Chinese warranty is Rob at Goodprophets. You'd have to buy the whole kit though, but his price is only $78. Considering a whole kit from China is $82 shipped, it's not a bad deal at all. He seems pretty reasonable to deal with as well...of course, I haven't had a warranty issue yet either.

Chef - let us know if the 601 from Midwest gets any special treatment. I doubt it, but it was worth asking.

bri1270,
LOL yep you got that right... It's funny the first thing when I woke up this morning was reach over and grab my pipe to start vaping. Of course my wife just rolled her eyes at me, but she's happy I quit analogs. It's funny how your sense of smell comes back after not smoking for a while. I can smell a smoker 50 feet away now and I think to myself, did I really smell that bad when I smoked? Well glad to be a club member and thanks to all.

A few have mentioned the weak hit from the pipe. Many have mentioned the god awful primer (GAP) lasting a long, long time. I wonder if I have grown accustomed to the GAP, and am confusing it w/ throat hit potency.

When I first got my 601, while the bat charged I let the pipe itself drain to get all the excess primer out. Then I put in a med cart and began enjoying. The TAB tasted great, and it instantly provided a much harsher hit than my 701 cigar (also using med); though after 30 min-hour of vaping (over a few days) I noticed occasionally getting a really nasty taste and an even harsher nose and throat burning that made the experience quite displeasing. This occasional nastiness has remained, and even though now the cart is filled with the same liquid i am using in my cigar.

Any fellow Pipers have any ideas? I find it hard to believe there could still be some GAP residue, and I'm quite sure I'm not burning the cart filling, but I'm clueless.

I find that I puff faster than the cartridge can transfer juice to the atomizer so I have been dripping the pipe for two weeks. I had two or three instances of harshness. I am thinking the pipe was running a little dry and/or too much 'juice from vaping past' had accumulated. I generally drain the pipe overnight and test again in the morning. The cleaning cycle as described in the user manual also can clear out any off taste.

One thing I found out, as most of you already have, is never let the pipe rest on it's side to standing with the mouthpiece facing the sky. If you do, the clean up job is a real PIA.

Chef - If you haven't already, pick up a pipe stand. Litecig has them, but you can also find them on ebay. Totally worth the few bucks.
