Hi fatman.....I had the same experiences that you have. I don;t have the penstyle but I do have a lady pipe with the original atomizer and the bestecig penstyle atomizer. I did a coke dip with the bestecig atomizer and got rid of the vile taste. But even now the taste with the Lady pipe was much better with the original atomizer. tobacco flavors just taste so bland with the be112 atomizer. Do you agree with that? How about the the vapor? With the lady pipe it seems to me that produces much fuller pipe like vapor. The bestecig produces more visual vapor but your don;t get much throat hit...and you don't don't feel it in your mouth. How does the david Yangs penstyle compare to the minipipe in these departments. The only reason I am thinking about getting a penstyle is that I have killed one pipe switch and 3 atomizers in a month. And the swithces on these things are expensive....you have to get a whole new set.

Yes! It is nice to get some confirmation :). Every once in a while the BE112 atomizer feel just right, but I think that is down to how you draw. But the falvor on the pipe is the big difference. It is more consistent. I want the pen's capacity with the pipe's flavor. I am thinking of trying the M201. There's very little data on it, maybe it draws better. Anybody with any experience wioth the 801 vs the 201?

Any one try the bestecig be112 pen style?
Yup, I have it, it's awesome! I think one of my atomizers died though... letting it dry from cleaning right now.

My question is which of these are really DSE801's if, indeed, either of them are? Does sanyone know?
I'm pretty sure both of them are are 801s.

I got the BE112 from Best and David Yang's 801 to compare. They are definitely not the same thing, the Eastmall 801 is slightly smaller, but the parts do interchange.

As for a review - the BE112 has, to me anyway, a more natural draw. I like it a lot, but the primer taste in the atomizers where - how shall I put it? - overbearingly awful. It took two days to get them to taste right, but once broken in, I stopped bringing my 901 to work. The "all day" cartridge size made a huge difference to me. My real gripe with the BE112 is the battery take some getting used to.

The EastMall 801 tasted better faster and seems to have a better throat hit. The battery is better than the BE112, but the atomizers are about the same.
Thanks a lot for that!! I'm about to spend a lot of money importing about 50 e-cigs to sell in my country to sell and am between those 2 801s. I think I'm going with EastMall, but still 110% sure!! If been looking for you FATMAN!! Which you you think I should bring??

Who is David Yang? Could you please post a link? With the abysmal failure rate on these things I'd really like to have a source that had that kind of recommendation :).

Thanks *VERY* much!

Great Service from David Yang
David Yang's 4-hole Penstyle 801

I am sorry but puresmoker website doesn't list any DSE801 product, at least I can't find it there, and their search doesn't produce any results on "801".

Can you or someone please provide a link? Where can I buy DSE801?
801=Pensyle.
But wait! There are 2 Penstyle's DSE801 and RN4072, PureSmoker is a RN4072.

Dude, if you are looking for me, you are already in trouble :) The BE112 works and Beci is responsive and gives great customer service. You really can't go wrong with the price or service. But their batteries, or more specifically their switch, take some getting used to. it requires a light draw, or it cuts you off. What is weird is that if it cuts you off and you keep drawing, it comes back on. You can actually see the light flicker in a mirror. David Yang's batteries are more consistent. They draw more naturally.

If I'm pretty sure both of them are are 801s.
They aren't. I have an 801 carry case and the EastMall batteries fit fine in there and the BE112's do not. The BE112 is slightly wider and longer. Not by much, but you can see it. But the EastMall 801's are more expensive. In bulk that difference adds up.

If you were to ask me to make a decision, i would say the EastMall pens are better because of that battery draw. But neither are ideal. I want the mini-pipe's atomizer on these batteries. I am ordering an M201 from SMOORE to see if they are any better. If that isn't any better, I will get get EastMall's batteries and Beci's atomizers which seem the best compromise.

I know, I got a BE112 two weeks ago :)

Great to know, thanks.

The batteries may be different size, but they're still 801s. I read in another thread that Eastmall "upgraded" the batteries, making them about 2cm longer than before. That was just an upgrade, it's still a 801.
I'm thinking you maybe have the older model? Because I thought the Eastmall was longer then the Bestecig.

But the EastMall 801's are more expensive. In bulk that difference adds up.
Their bulk prices are very similar (unlike their retail). David has the cheapest priced e-liq I've seen anywhere.

If you were to ask me to make a decision, i would say the EastMall pens are better because of that battery draw. But neither are ideal.
Thanks, it feels good to be re-assured of a decision, I was almost sure I was ordering from Eastmall.

I got the EastMall 801 about 10 days ago, if that helps. But the best ecig is definitely the larger of the two.

Idaho--make no bones about it--I loved the RN4072--but the short lifespan of the atomizer is in fact unaccetable for me--That is why i retreated to the 801-----Sun
Well I've only been using it for a few weeks so maybe time will tell and I'll be singing a diff tune. I hope not. 1 thing I have noticed is a lot of the atomizers do not work with the USB passthrough. Do you have any ideas for that? I thought about putting a little piece of foil between the connections. Do you think that will work?

Idaho--the issue is in the depth of the treading--about one out of every five fails on a passthough for me. I have tried the foil and it did not work--I have gotten some results with pulling the positive connection middle connection with were the hole is in the atomizer up with a strong paper clip--but it does not always work--give it a try Idaho. I truly wish I never ordered the RN4072 and have stockpiled up on the 801's. My draw is full of dead RN's---Sun

I got one to work doing that with a pair of needle nosed pliers but was hoping there was another way. The atomizers I got with my sis' new 801's do the same thing. Well I've only got 1 RN4072 & 1 DSE801 so it will be interesting to see which 1 lasts longer. There is a diff in the carts, but like I said before, packing the cart heavier does make a diff.

i too have the be112 from best ecig.

no leaky cart issues.....the fit is nice and tight.....bought 25 spare carts as well

bought the mini pipe from DY....lovin it

i use the 112 atomizer on the minipipe...just dont screw it in tight...the holes are different on the mini pipe and be112 atomizers...but it does work and works very well.

Sorry guys, Little correction, I did not know my Penstyle from puresmoker was actually the RN (per the posters above), However, all the 801 accessories and atomizers for I have ordered from Ruyandirect.com fit it the puresmoker penstyle parts FLAWLESSLY, So that is why I labeled it as an 801.

for an update: I am still using the 801 atomizers and they are working great, I have had a few of the puresmoker atomizers start to produce a weak hit so I have been letting them drain for weeks and havent touched them, perhaps they are dead or perhaps not, I have noticed the atomizers labeled as 801 from RuyanDirect are actually slightly better in performance and quite a bit better as far as vapor production which is kind of annoying for me because there is lots of times when I have to stealth it at work and it now leaves a gigantic vapor cloud :\
I finally got a nice camera yesterday and to test it I made a video of me hitting it a couple of times:

YouTube - Me Hitting my ECIG

yea see all that vapor, its ridiculous almost, when I vape in my car it is like filled with vapor more so then ciggarette smoke would fill it lol, ofcourse it dissappears very quickly but still its just funny, maybe its just the liquid I am using now, RY4 from Ruyan. The throat hit is the same as from my puresmoker stuff its just there is an excessive thickness to the vapor.

Sun,

what kind is v9's rio? I accidentally killed a bat by putting it in a cup of water (I have two cups at my desk, one for ecigs and another for water) Anyway I bought some penstyles from the classifieds and it was all ps, I found that I can interchange ats and bats with my rio (but not the carts). I still seem to get a better throat hit, with an easier draw from the rio atom, I think its cuz the atom is so much bigger in the rio than ps, or is it because of the holes? rio, i can see four indents around the edge of the threads on the ats and I dont see them on ps. I have been toying with ordering overseas (while I can) but would like to get one like the rio.:?:

JeremyJames--There is a big difference between the 801 and RN4072. Both in design and heat production. Athough the two units look the same to a degree--they are totally different in perfomance and lifespan. The 801 IMO is a far better atomizer----Sun

Hmmm i was told these were the same item just different codes, so which UK supplier can i get an 801 from then? I must admit i am really happy with my supplier and they do the RN4072 not the 801.

Maybe there is a better option, i am happy with my on the road e-cig, but i want one just for home that runs off USB Passthru and gives a real good vapor and throat kick, must be fairly reliable too.

Im all confused again now about what to get lol.

Cheers Lee.

Nori--the Rio is a four hole RN4072 and as it runs hotter, you will indeed get a better hit, but at the price of a shorter life expetancy IMO---Sun
