I would suggest the glv2 5v/ It is much more versatile in that it will first of all satisfy you and not leave you wishing you had gotten it to begin with, I use DC on the GLV and it is perfect.,

How many DCs do you vape a day, and with that, what sort of battery life are you getting with your GLV2 5v?

The GLV2 5v has been steadily making its way to the top of my "next mod" list. I was going to get a bottom feeder next, but these dual coils are perfect at 5v and all of the 5v bottom feeders seem to have amp limiting regulators so the DCs are a no go. I have a couple of 5v batts for my maxi rough stack, but one of them sucks. So, I'm getting 4 hours a day of perfect vaping at 5v and the rest of the time I'm wishing I was.

Can someone point me to an 18650 and a set of cr123's these things will actually work with? I have the red and black trustfire 18650 2400mah and the hoaba cr123 battery and charger combo, the 18650 will not fire any of them, the cr123's will fire two of the cartos for maybe two or three hits before tripping the protection circuit, but my Inferno fires all five just fine.

A pair of protected 18350s won't fit in my maxi RS. Can't quite screw it shut. The threads will start, but not screw all the way down. - I have, however, run the dual coils with a pair of 3.7v 16340s... but I'm not sure it's a good idea with the RS. The RS switch is rated for 3 amps. Fresh off the charger batts will be providing in the neighborhood of 8 + volts. A 1.6 ohm carto means you're pulling 5 amps.

Little update: I still have no problems so to speak...couple things of interest maybe:

-Still using my first one...on day 3 working good...probably could use a little cleaning maybe starting to tighten on the draw some.
-Spittin and poppin some...these things really cook...a little hot juice in the mouth with my drip tip...put a modified cart on to stop that.
-So nice to see when the filler gets dry...jus add more juice and you're back in business.
-I have not used any cartos before but these produce huge amounts of nice, warm vapor (5v).

I blew some vodka through one and got a whole bunch of gunk out of it. I let sit and dry for a couple of days where the sun hit it through a window. I'm vaping it now. It seems to be working like new, but the draw might be a bit tighter than a fresh one.

I don't know if it's worth it or not. I'm getting ten or so fills and a few top-offs per carto before the performance starts dropping.

Has anyone tried to clean the Dual Coil Cartomizers yet? I have a few that probably need it now but I'm afraid to try it. Of course, the alternative it to throw them out so what do I have to lose?

I just did one yesterday. It was a clear one. Wiggled the tube free and it slid off...unrolled the filler and rinsed well and wrapped around the coils are little pieces of another softish filler...maybe a cloth of some sort...rinsed those as well...dry burned the coils just until they started turning red and rinsed those as well (did this a few times to get the gunk off)...put it all back together and it is like brand new. So far so good...must be carefull as they seem pretty fragile but it worked for me :)

I'm not sure how many fill ups I'm getting. I keep topping them off and they've been going for weeks. I finally broke out a new one yesterday and....WOW....what a difference. It's like I forgot how intense these things are. Even after the vapor production drops off, they still work better than just about everything else. I'm going to try cleaning one and see how it goes....I'll post my results.

I tried the clear dual coils with mod box from madvapes. I'm using trustfire 3.7v batteries. The first one out of the box was great. But on the second fill up the draw got so tight I could hardly get air through it. So I took out a second one. I'm putting in 20 to 25 drops and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Screwed it onto the mod box and pressed the switch. I heard a loud pop and saw a flash. Tasted like caca....then a big burn spot showed up about 1/4 the way up the carto from the threads. Humm, bad carto or improper fill? So number three did the same thing...4th and 5th ones seem to be working OK and have filled each of them a few times but now I'm not getting much more than a little smoke and no flavor. But I haven't been having any fun lately with any cartos. The flavor seems to fade at about the 3rd filling and by 4th or 5th filling its time for them to go. Doesn't seem to matter what brand I use either. Tried new batteries and got no joy either. I have no idea what my problem is...When I first started using cartos 4 or 5 months ago they were great now...no so much and just recently (past month) they all seem to get tight early on...I'm spending too much time trying to make them work.

Just wanna fill it and vape it and taste it....it ain't happenin'.

If I may...another update...I have been using the same 4 for 15 days (one I destroyed the threads trying to take it apart at work using pliers)...mainly on my 5v box. The little strip of paper type filler stuff covering the coils has been burned through on a couple that were tasting bad...took em apart removed those strips and replaced with a tea bag. The tea bag was cut to about the same size and I folded mine so it had four layers...wrapped it all back up and it is working fine so far...no more yuck flavor...I have been using it only a couple hours so far but so far so good...I will follow up when I clean again. Just throwing this out there...

That's actually the answer to what's wrong with the ones that get super hot but won't produce vapor. I've cut open a couple that acted that way and what I found was there was no wrap around one coil. -- And, that's why letting them sit filled with juice for a couple of days helps. The filler swells and gets closer to the coils.

Yea...well I may have spoke too soon...I'm starting to get an off flavor...tea bag prolly is not the answer although it does wick very fast...hmmm...what to replace it with?...Any ideas?

Oh yea...Sj...
My problem is once it gets to that point it sticks to the coil and wont come off without destroying the coil.
I know what your sayin about them being stuck...I have just worked 'em free...so far have not destroyed the coils /knockonwood

and oh yea...I lied...using 3 still...I popped one doin the dry burn...
